I know queens history, but I personally never liked them until I heard paul on vocals along with brian and roger. ROTC is simply some of rocks best live performances, and paul is simply unmatched. Don't get me wrong freddie Mercury and rober plant are good, but paul is amazing!
well,, i suppose if you like them you need to look at the foundations... with out freddie there wouldne be this great amouint of music for queen + paul to go on with. As for the best thing to happen to queen...... no.... its great for fans as your self.... i listen to the ROTC, but.... its not the best thing to happen. Maybe in there eyes, they feel they can move on.
NO Paul = NO Queen!!! :-)))
Shoot for the moon... even if you fail you will land among the stars!
Queen without Freddie? I dont think so :s..
O_o
absolutely no way!!!!!!!!!
Go, Go, Go, little queenie!!
Let's put it this way: Paul is the best thing that happened to Queen since Freddie passed away.

Then it's a definate YES! for me.
Nooooooooooooooooooooo. I was a fan of Paul's before I'd even heard of Queen (and still am a fan of his) but I just don't think that the Queen+PR thing works at all. I'd be happier if Brian & Roger shared vocals rather than having anyone else as front man. Leave Paul to his solo stuff and Bad Company tours where he is at his best.
I reign with my left hand, I rule with my right.
Well...

you see...

Paul is an asshole...

Hes not the best thing to happen to his mother or wife

He sucks...

leave it at that
Freddie Mercury *** 1946 - Forever in our hearts ***
isnt it time we put this subject to bed---not another paul or freddie-time to drop it i think
ah, no, Freddie was the best thing that ever happend to Queen
but you don't give me comfort and a man's gotta get it somewhere -brian may i'll give you comfort brian XD
the guy from argentinian cover band god save the queen, would do a much better job than paul rodgers

This is very interesting, and I'm glad you posted. Ignore all of the teenagers and closed-minded Freddie fans here. You see, a lot of people are "Freddie" fans, not "Queen" fans. You're definitely not the first person to prefer Queen with Paul Rodgers over Queen with Freddie Mercury.

I will agree with Jeroen and say that Paul is the best thing to happen to Queen in the last 15 years. Paul is unlike everyone else the band has worked with. He's not trying to be anything like Freddie. Paul is being Paul, and he lends his unique style to every Queen song he touches without insulting the original.

To each their own opinion.

I think Paul is an awesome singer, and together with Queen they put out a great show. However, I wished that it was Brian and Roger doing the vocals themselves.
