One of the great things about this particular colaboration is that Paul isn't going to sound exactly like the original. He puts his own spin on it. Sometime it works, sometime it doesn't, I must admit. But of all the singers that have ever collaborated with Queen, Paul is definately the best in my opinion.

yea, I knew this had to be some kind of joke. Freddie mercury will always be the man once it comes to queen. Paul is also a good vocalist and I'm sure paul, brian and roger will come up with some quality music in the next year.

Sorry but I´ve never heard about Paul Rodgers before until he joined Queen. When an artist become a star, he should be known in all the world (such as Queen, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, etc). On US radio, just as many of his songs are on playlists as Queen songs. Paul might have been a very well respected musician before teaming up with Brian and Roger but no way was he a LEGEND. Paul did not have a #1 album or single with ANY of his 3 bands in the UK. That is not a LEGEND. its like taking a team from any sport in the world who never won their championship, sure they were 2nd a few times and 3rd quite a lot but never ever top, and calling them legends. that is not a LEGEND! the only reason Paul did have 3 bands over most singers is that most of them might be in a band and then go solo, not go from band to band to band, thats all it is. July 13th 1985. Live Aid. The biggest show in the world. Queen were at Wembley where they stole the show. Freddie was the greatest. Where was Paul Rodgers? LEDEND? YEAH WHATEVER!!!!!
Reaching number 1 in the top 40 isn't the only way you can become a legend. If it were, then Chet Atkins, Les Paul, and Django Reinhardt wouldn't be guitar legends, James Jamerson and Tony Levin wouldn't be bass legends, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday wouldn't be singing legends, and Yes wouldn't be progressive rock legends.

Just in case you don't know WATC is a queen song. I also sensed the greater respect for freddie talent, I remember the people sitting next to me saying "I don't think paul could pull this off" these type of comments will tell you queen are still more respected than paul rodgers. yes, In the US pauls songs are played a lot on the radio, almost as much as queens.

I said "most" of the big cheers, not all. I recall the cheer at the beginning of "Bad Company" being about the same volume as BoRhap and WATC.
