I want to know why I'm listed in the Thanks section - I have no idea, it's not like I'm a specialist on a Queenrelated-subject - like Mr Scully/John S Stuart/etc are :)
I got this in the mail today. I've been skipping around all afternoon, taking in the different sections, reading bits and pieces here and there, and it is absolutely terrific. Easily the best Queen discography-type work I have ever read, by far. Interesting, well-written, very accurate based on the bits I have read, very thorough, well laid out and easy to use, very readable prose style. This is basically the Queen discography book I have wanted for 20 years.
This is a tremendous accomplishment and I salute the author for the hard work that went into it - all the better that its the product of one of our very own, and one of the nicer members of the forum at that. A delightful chap who doesn't type IN ALL CAPS and speak to people like garbage - but I digress. Kudos, kudos, kudos, to you, Mr. Purvis - you have done a great service to future Queen fans and compiled what will undoubtedly become one of the five indispensible Queen books that will probably ever be published. And speaking of publication, kudos to Reynolds and Hearn.
Buy this, everybody, you will not be disappointed.

I don't post much...at all...but I ordered this book and am very impressed. This is the best Queen book, i've gotten to read to be honest. Simple, informative, entertaining. Brilliant.
I know some corrections have been brought up so I'm sorry if this is a duplicate but in the All the Young Dudes Song section you mistakenly credit Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt with backing vocals when it should be Joe Elliot and Phil Collen.

I got my copy a couple of weeks ago, and I must commend the author for his extreme level of detail. I also own the Bowie book and they are both fantastic reference books to have in hand. Of course the Bowie book has been updated many times and I see the same for this book as long as their is still activity in the Queen camp. With that in mind, I do have a few corrections (silly, little things) that can certainly be confirmed, but in the quest for perfection I thought I would share.
Brian May's "I Don't Want Nobody Teasing Around Me" is listed as unreleased but it was released on the Japanese "Good Rocking Tonight"
The group that Roger appeared with in the mid 70"s was Fox with one X
The venue that Brian May played with Les Paul was called Fat Tuesday's which was a jazz club in New York City that Les Paul played at every week. I had the good fortune of being there on the night Brian played.

One other small thing I found that led me to my old fan club magazines. In the write up for Drowse, you mention that the last words of the song were revealed in 1984. They were actually first mentioned in the Spring 1977 issue of the Queen fan club magazine....still the best reference book on Queen that is out there. Thanks Georg/Lester.
