Thanks everyone for your kind words. Hopefully you all like it, and if you don't, then just be gentle :)

Many thanks Ian, for posting the pictures - it looks good! I can't wait to have my own copy! (p.s. your check is in the mail :P )
Georg/Lester/Perry, congratulations, it looks fantastic, you must be very proud. Well done!
You know, good times are now.
Georg,

A triumph! Fruition old son - and something to be extremely proud of. I hope that a certain person who infrequently visits here has had the courtesty of congratulating you. Without "official" access, it's amazing what you have managed to achieve.

The Queen community is alive and well!

i know you got the idea from the bowie book which is brilliant and this book is just as good

maybe we should sneak you into the archives and let you write about all the seeions and unreleased tracks what a book that would be

Just pre-ordered today.

Wondering though, If I slipped you a $20 can I get a personalized copy with a picture of me on the cover? ;)
I just ordered the book. :-)
That time will come, one day you'll see that i'll be dead and you will laugh!
Hey Lester!

My copy arrived today - congratulations and thanks a lot man! Though I still need to read it all, at first sight it is indeed something that you can be proud of.

Looks very accurate, complete, thorough and interesting. And, yes, actually something that indeed ADDS something new to all the tons of books that are already out there. MOST especially in the documentation of all the unreleased/unheard songs.

Looks like it is worth all the amount of time you have put in this work.
Hope you are satisfied and proud of it yourself, and it was a worthwhile experience ;-)

Cheers!
Here's to you and your debut as an author!

LESTER:
On page 93 of the book, you mention the fan club release of The Cross 1992 live in germany "bootleg" and that you DON'T have a copy!
I'm absolutely astounded at that.
Do I need to upload for people????

D
I haven't got to page 93 yet, but the two fan club official bootlegs date from 1990 & 1991.

Do I add this to Lester's error list, or yours?
His I suppose.
I simply read his blurb and thought "hang on, I've got that tape", so posted the above message.
Never even thought to check the date.
I don't think it's an error - the Düsseldorf concert was recorded 1991 but released by the fan club in 1992, isn't that correct?
I do not want any google ads here.
You're right, it's not an error.

p93 specifies a 1992 release of a 1991 recording, whereas the post above refers to it as "1992 Live in Germany", which is ambiguous.

Apologies all round - I'll get back to page 50
I'm surprised that (based on the sample pages) the book even titles the 'Que Sera Sera' bit from the Garden Lodge extacts as 'Fuck off and die you fag', the title which first surfaced in the old-old-old Queen hub when a certain Chad Hanging renamed the shared file to that title.

Or is there an actual official source that names it in a similarily vulgar way?

Oh, btw. I've shamelessly plugged this book in a few musician forums quoting the Queenzone news article. I'll buy a copy of this book once I stop being poor, which is around 2011... Or next week.

re the dusseldorf concert date. That's just the way i've interpreted the text. The point is, Lester says he's never heard it, so does one of us need to upload it for people?
Glad that the 1991 / 1992 thing was cleared up. If I wasn't so damn busy, I would've clarified here m'self, but thanks Barb for figuring out what I meant!

Sure, if you're feeling generous! ;)

Ahh, I wasn't aware of that... that's the title I knew the song as, no matter how vulgar... certainly if the song were ever officially released (not that that'll ever happen), I doubt the songwriters would want it titled as 'Que Sera Sera'...
