If it really was, my name would me in the "Acknowledgements" section. With a big picture of my camels.

So far, the only gripe I've got about this book is that the author passes his own comments and opinions on various things. For example, he clearly states that he believes the 30th anniversay "NATO" DVDA release to be a waste of time (though I have to agree as it's no where near as good as the original USA release in terms of musical seperation) and that he doesn't half slag off Jazz as being a crap album, especially Roger's two tracks.
Sorry Lester, but i din't really want to read YOUR opinions of the albums.
Other than that, it's so far worth the money I paid.

Oh dear... not good.

I understand where you're coming from, but I tried tried tried to remain fair and balanced when it came to reviewing all the songs and albums. It's really difficult though, especially when you love the band so much, because not everything they did was perfect, and of course you're going to get people who say, "Well, I happen to love 'Fun It', so I don't need some no-name jackass with a book contract telling me it's crap!". But I don't think I tried to pass off my opinion as fact, though, so of course you're welcome to disagree with me ;) and I can see how it would be an annoyance. I DID try to keep the book as factual as possible, and I went in listening to all the songs and albums with an open mind...

Lester, you rock.

My book came today and I've only had a chance to skim through bits of it. But even though there's not much in it that's 'novel' to me, it's bloody hard to put down.

You've basically written 'the' book that needed to be written, and you deserve nothing but praise for being the one to undertake the project and manage to get it to bear fruit. It immmediately evoked 'Revolution In The Head', which is one of my all time favourite books (and I know you regard highly too) which can only be a good thing.

Of course it's impossible for you as the writer to withhold your subjective opinions on the songs, and it would be unreaosnable and naive for any reader of this book to expect you to do so. But what is possible for you is to try and keep your opinions understated and inoffensive, and generally fair; which you have seemed to pulled off from what I've seen so far. And the way you do it is entirely in keeping with the ways other authors of comparable works have done.

So good work fella. I'll look forward to giving more thoughts when I've properly looked at it.

Two things though:

- Why is my name in there? (Thanks though!).
- I'm sure She Makes Me was subtitled Stormtrooper In Stilettos because one of the techinical crew at the time commented that the percussion track sounded like 'a stormtrooper in stilettos'?

Yes. I agree with Bohardy. It IS hard to put down.
