Can I be forgiven for wanting to get one of these things? I've had a run of luck with stringed instruments lately; I've been hammering out fine tunes on a Turkish oud, a mandolin, a ukulele, and yer regular guitars (of which I have... 'enough' around). Time for the sitar methinks.

I don't know...it always comes across as being rather a lethally difficult instrument to play, having more strings than China has inhabitants...
Sympathetic strings! Just tune them, and forget they're there... my brother in law invented a wonderful resonator thing with that in mind once, it really was a good idea. Can't imagine why he never built it though.
