Chad... haha. I was in a rehearsal room with him in the 2nd last week with one of the guys from Glissendorf and and we jammed on songs by The Who. In Chad's words, I 'almost' sung Baba O'Riley.
Well.... considering I've never sung into a PA before, I wonder if I should take it as a good thing??

I hope it has a case. The woman who's selling it basically has had it as an ornament collecting dust, so while it might be a pretty thing to look at, it's probably got shitty strings on it. I guess I'll see tomorrow.

Ugh... yeah. Whats worse is, some Cert IV guy had a projector on his performance with arty footage, and the lighting guy ruined it by continually flashing all the coloured lights. The Cert IV guy looked really pissed off, and kept signalling to kill the lights, but the lighting guy took no notice.

Whenever I performed at TAFE I made sure I brought a camera. For the last performance, I actually got Tully to bring HIS camera as well, so I got 2 angle video. I can finally do that wanky thing where you cross-fade from one angle to another. Looks really professional (too bad Tully and Chad took the shakiest footage since the 2004 tsunami).

I stole about 114481949134 ear plugs from there. It was the greatest source EVER. I wish I still had those 'Hero' ear plugs. They were pink and you had to push 'em in and manipulate them in. I don't know what I'm talking about but they were awesome.

One thing you can count on from TAFE lecturers is an absence of bullshit. They were very honest with me after my performances : "James needs to improve his drumming" or "You should find another band".

It was my ambition to play things like Won't Get Fooled Again, or Who Are You even.... just, guh I had about 15 songs I had to give up on. Really upsetting.
I've learned my lesson - in the next life, I'll just use backing tracks.

I couldn't have been more flattered by that guys comment, it cheered me up because I was actually quite disappointed by my own playing. It was nice that someone enjoyed it.
Anyway, I've got a sitar to clean!
