I'd put Opera ahead of Races....
If I was to decide systematically, I'll go with this:
OPERA
Favourite Songs: Bo Rhap, Death, '39, Prophet's Song, Love Of My Life, Car
Worst Songs: Seaside Rendezvous, Good Company, Sweet Lady.
Overall +3
RACES
Favourite Songs: Tie Your Mother Down, Somebody To Love, White Man, Teo Torriatte
Worst Songs: Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Millionaire Waltz
Overall +2

A Day At The Races or A Night At The Opera?
For me it will always be A Day At The Races
Long Away
Drowse
You And I
Take My Breath Away
Need I say more?

Nntsm!
I would rather spend a night at the opera. I mean... horses ?
I don't even like horses. And if I was going to do some gambling, I think I could find a more exciting way to do it - rather than betting little pieces of paper (or electronic signals, or even bits of metal) on which sweaty four-legged beast will be in front of all the other sweaty four-legged beasts when going around an oval.
For instance, I could say something about gambling and sex without a condom - but I think the political correctness value there would be incredibly low and probably somewhat in poor taste.
And I do like opera, so there's really no contest.
On a more serious note, I think the Queen albums (o, yes, those things) are different in "feeling". The one whose title infers watching sweaty four-legged beasts is very "romantic" and the song "You Take My Breath Away" is such a wonderful stalker song that I can't bear to listen to it. The one whose title implies a fat lady singing isn't so mushy-gushy over-all.
I don't know. Depends on how I'm feeling. They're such nice companions, and get on well together. Except when someone falls in love with a motor-vehicle, then things just go bad - because mufflers cause unbearable chafing that no amount of lubricant can help prevent.

I like them both, so I can't really decide on which is better. I think I like opera, for it's style. That was the first album to really sound operetic. Then races, for the continuation. I love them both though so compairing them is difficult. Smile.

Overall +2[/QUOTE]Good company and the millionaire waltz are two of Queen's best songs.

A Night At The Opera
1. Death On Two Legs (Dedicated To...) - great
2. Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon - I like it
3. I'm In Love With My Car - great
4. You're My Best Friend - great
5. '39 - great
6. Sweet Lady - I'm not that fond of this one.
7. Seaside Rendezvous - I like it
8. The Prophet's Song - I have to be in the mood for this one. I would like this song better in an edited format (remove the vocal canon, which, IMO, bogs the song down).
9. Love Of My Life - great
10. Good Company - good
11. Bohemian Rhapsody - great
12. God Save The Queen - great
A Day At The Races
1. Tie Your Mother Down - great
2. You Take My Breath Away - great; It would be better in an edited format (again, remove the vocal canon, which bogs the song down).
3. Long Away - great
4. The Millionaire Waltz - I don't like this track at all with the exception of that very short heavy section.
5. You And I - good
6. Somebody To Love - great
7. White Man - I have to be in the mood for this one, too. It's not one of my favorites.
8. Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy - great
9. Drowse - Boring track (definitely filler)
10. Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together) - good song
With that said, I like "A Night At The Opera" more than "A Day At The Races".
