Races was supposed to be the leftovers from the Opera sessions. Tell you what...there are some songs on Races that are MUCH betetr than anything on Opera. YTMBA and Millionaire are beautiful songs. STL has perhaps Freddie's finest bit of singing anywhere, and is probably the most perfect and complete song he ever wrote. Even John and Roger's "fillers" are very good songs. GOFL is fantastically extreme and TYMD is possibly Brian's finest out-and-out rocker
WHAT DOES STL MEAN AND GOFL?
Somebody To Love and Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy....with the B missing from "GOFL"

all the songs on that album are great
and in my opinion, some songs on ANATO are crap, like "Seaside..." and "Lazing on a..."
This coming from someone named KingMercury.
If you don't like those songs, you don't understand Freddie Mercury.
[QUOTENAME]Danny1 wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Because (BoRhap) and (LOML) might very well be the two greatest songs of all time, i have to vote for (ANATO).
Agreed, I think BoRhap, love of my life and the prophet song are among the best queen songs ever. That's the main reason some people don't hear the genious of "good company" it's between three of the greatest Queen songs.
oh crap this would be like picking my favorite child.
well considering my cd for day at the races is scratched nad i cant listen to it, i listen to a night at the opera more, but doing that too much can ruin the beauty of it.
BUT prophets song is on night at the opera....which i love.
speaking of a night at the opera, for new years i watched that marx brothers film :-D
.....just thought i should mention that.
so the verdict is ill have to flip a coin. even if i do tho, i wouldnt be happy with the answer
so i love both my children ;-)

Both albums are surely 2 of Queen's best records. To me it's like comparing apples to oranges. That said I feel ADATR is oh so very slighly stronger. Why? Somebody To Love is the greatest recording in pop history. Period.
I always wanted to check out ANATO and ADATR from the marx brothers, but still never saw them. They have the boxset of all their movies.
I think I'd have to say A Day At The Races.
It has my absolute fav. songs!
Long Away - I think it's my overall fav.!
You And I - Second or third. Some Day One Day is another fav.!
You Take My Breath Away
The Millionaire Waltz
But ANATO has some GREAT ones too!
'39
Good Company
I'm In Love With My Car
Death On Two Legs
Boh. Rhap.
The Prophet's Song
Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon
Oh, why not just mention them all!
But I still think ADATR is the better one... At least at the moment.

i love it! my friends do too. theres nothing like that kind of acting anymore. true talent is few and far between now.

A Day At The Races
i think a night at the opera is waaaay better. death on two legs is one of my favorite songs ever, its a perfect opener. starts the album out with strength and anger, then goes into the lighthearted lazing on a sunday afternoon. every song just completely contrasts the last song, and yet it still all flows together, each song complimenting the one before it and the one after it. it just fits so perfectly together.
plus it has the prophet's song, which is the coolest queen song.
and also it has bohemian rhapsody, and be it overrated or not, it is an frickin awesome song
