Why did Freddie Mercury & David Bowie not get along with each other?

I would like to see people's oppinions on this one

I thought they did?

David Bowie gave him AIDs, dumped him and told him it's fair. That's why.

Why did Bowie do so much at the Tribute show then? Why has UP been in his set pretty much ever since?
