I heard they didn't..I've notticed from interviews with David he was very uneasy talking about Freddie..it seemed like there was tension around the two of them..it was either competition or a general dislike

I didn't make a thread claiming they did, although all Tribute concert footage is fairly clear in terms of providing a clue as to how well they got along.

I heard Freddie hated negroes and Jews.
Find me a site that says he didn't and I'll post the link where he said he did.

From what I've heard they did get along quite well without being close friends. I think the initial contact came from Rog, who was more regularly in touch with Bowie.
And the thing about Cool Cat can be heard on Freddie's Lisa Robinson interview on YouTube, just a little funny rant about him removing his vocals from the take and thus almost delaying the release of HS. But nothing that sounds angry or something to that extent.
He sent flowers to Freddie's funeral (card with "Will be missed" can be read on some footage), there are pics of them talking to each other backstage at Live Aid and he participated in the Tribute.

David Bowie recorded backing vocals for the song "Cool Cat" and later asked to have them removed because he was not satisfied with the song. [/QUOTE]
Personally I'm glad Bowie's voice is not heard on Cool Cat.

If you watch the whole entire interview, Freddie mentions that David Bowie was unhappy with his singing on one of the songs they recorded together. He sounds a bit bitter to me so something obviously happened between them.

In light of the subsequent releases following Under Pressure in 1981 - Bowie had a huge number one hit single in the UK and US with Let's Dance from the album of the same time. Fair play, the album received a fair amount of criticism for joining the dance trend rather than going against it (sound familiar?), but it still featured UK number two singles in China Girl and Modern Love.
Whereas Hot Space, aside from Las Palabras De Amor and Body Language charting well in the UK and US respectively, the material was not received well at the time.
So, definitely Under Pressure was more important for Queen in the early 80s than Bowie in my view.

Bowie Scares Me
Freddie never forgave Bowie for shagging Jagger before him
I always thought they did get along but who gives a toss if they did or not? I can't remember either of them ever slagging off the other in any way so where do you get your idea that they didn't get along? And we don't have to show you a site were it says they got along. You show us one were it says they didn't!
