  1. Roger confirms tour next year

Togg wrote: A few years ago I met John Deacon in Knightsbridge. I got to shake his hand and I got to ask him if this was him out of Queen forever, he thanked me and simply said, "well I have made the decision to retir...

  2. Roger confirms tour next year

QPR was a paycheck. Now it's time to leave the GHits behind and do something for the fans. I say bring Jeff Scott Soto on board and polish off all the gems of the past.

  3. Paul's view on future QPR

vJeff. Scott. Soto. Period. Just see for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a44WcE5Po_s

  4. Dream Theater nicked Queen riff?

I always felt the last minute of Robbie Williams' Singing for the Lonely sounded exactly like 'Funny How Love Is': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRiGrHYyYdc Scroll to about 3:50 and give a listen...

  5. QPR What's in store for 2009

What shows? For certain a complete Rainbow Theater show, Hyde Park, and Houston 77. I'd be happy with those. I'm sure these could be done justice with today's technology. And no, I really am not keen on where Queen &...

  6. QPR What's in store for 2009

I'd like to see the Q+PR thing go away. I've had my fill, and the album just didn't do it for me. Frankly, I'd MUCH rather see a BM solo effort with lots of guitars. As well, I'd MUCH rather see BM & RT concentrate on...

  7. take love...where is it now?

TCR is a Paul Rodgers solo album with Brian and Roger. There is virtually no 'Queen' on this album, unfortunately. BM's solo albums are much more Queen than TCR.

  8. Rolling Stone reviews "The Cosmos Rocks"

I agree with the review. The album is good, but it's really bluesy, and if not for some Queen signatures, could very well act as a Paul Rodgers solo album.

  9. Where is John Deacon?

Deacon has a 'syd barrett' mystique to him. Folks just might start stalking this reclusive rock star.

  10. Reviews: Return of the Champions CD

My opinions of the show: 1. Reaching out (VERY NICE START) 2. Tie your mother down (EXCELLENT!) 3. I want to break free (EH--REPLACE WITH YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND) 4. Fat bottomed girls (GREAT!) 5. Wishing Well (GREAT!)...

  11. U.S. Tour - Better Luck Next Year

I'd rather have some new DVD releases of older tours than a new tour this year. Dunno...I want to see Freddie again...

  12. Deacon Guest?

Does anyone even know what John looks like these days? Are there any recent photos of him?

  13. A Kind of Magic has to go....

I agree 100% I also think they should drop 'I Want To Break Free', and add either Now I'm Here, Keep Yourself Alive, It's Late, or Sleeping On The Sidewalk. I think Paul would just be amazing on these tunes.

  14. Is This The World We Created?

Wasn't there some mention by PR of a rock version of this song being rehearsed? Or, am I dreaming?

  15. Okay, so John won't play anymore...

But will he watch, or listen? Think he's curious? Or, better yet, is there a chance he'd come by to visit the boys backstage at one of the shows, to show support?

  16. Setlist Issues

Eh, too many PR songs. I thought it'd be two, maybe three MAX. This is a Queen tour. As for the Quuen songs, I'd lose IWTBF, A Kind Of Magic, and Hammer To Fall, and put in either Now I'm Here, Sleeping On The Sidewal...

  17. Queen in the USA

I can't express how excited I am about this! It's like a surreal dream come true. They'll play 8,000 seaters, in my opinion, although Arenas of 14,000 aren't out of the question, since they've been selling better in E...

  18. Rehearsals...

I'm assuming, that with the tour to start in a couple of months, that rehearsals are under way. So...any ideas as to how they would proceed? I'm figuring that Brian, Paul, and Roger have sat down and reviewed a librar...

  19. Who should play bass?

Tim Staffell. Now there's a cool idea. The next best thing to John!

  20. Who should play bass?

I agree with Mr Scully. I want someone who will fit the bill with Paul, Brian and Roger. A classic rock bassist that has the years of experience behind him. Although I am deeply saddened by John's departure from the m...
