Were you ever mocked at school for liking Queen?
Went to a Christian school so there was quite a bit of homophobia. Knew a couple people who outright refused to accept Queen as a good band because 'aren't they all gay?'

Band that you like better than Queen.
Beach Boys are really doing it for me at the moment, more so than Queen I guess. I think my Queen interest peaked a couple years ago - there's definitely something to be said for not over-exposing yourself to artists...

Jazz album reissue
With better production and sequencing, it could've been a really terrific album. I think it's crazy to rank it anywhere near the bottom spot in their catalogue. Like Queen II, omit the Roger composition/s and you're l...

Unpopular opinions related to the band
miraclesteinway wrote: Roger is a consistently better songwriter than Freddie. Although Freddie is possibly a better composer. It's an odd distinction to make - do you mean Roger's a better lyricist? Perhaps true, tho...

Unpopular opinions related to the band
Here's mine: - I don't like Tie Your Mother Down very much at all. - Leaving Home Ain't Easy is lovely, close to being as good as Long Away. Just a shame about the ugly varispeed vocals - that section would've worked...

Unpopular opinions related to the band

Beach Boys know how to do a live release
With very little fanfare, The Beach Boys just digitally put out a 109 track live album covering the latter half of 1967. Not a trace of autotune. How do Queen still get it so wrong?

Queen's Version Of Big Spender
One of my favourite covers that they did on stage. So heavy and such a raucous vocal from Freddie. And love his loose and suggestive pronunciation of 'pop my cork', as others have said.

Brian’s gone off the deep end
Glad he was able to take ownership of it - the best possible outcome I think. Hopefully he'll approach similar situations with a bit more of a level head in future. The solution is easy - before hitting post, take a b...

Brian’s gone off the deep end
Right on Oscar. I can appreciate that the initial issue is somewhat hazy, especially considering it’s seemingly occurred internationally and copyright law is nationally located. But regardless of who was initially in...

Brian’s gone off the deep end
Another instance of near senile ramblings by Brian. This one’s particularly nasty and directed at one fan who made a copyright claim after he reposted their photo of him. https://instagram.com/p/BbcE6PejIwQ/ ‘How rude...

All dead, all dead by freddie mercury on the radio
Quite lovely. Glad they ultimately dropped the intro vocals, and glad they ultimately went with Brian for the lead - Freddie's vibrato is a bit much for the song. Brian's resignation is a much better fit. Wonder why t...

How would you rank Freddie, Brian, and Roger in terms of vocals and why?
mooghead wrote: Did Brian May ever sing live at a Queen gig (proper Queen not plastic Queen bollocks)? His mic was actually a potato. His mic was certainly lower in the mix than Roger's in most cases, but he can often...

How would you rank Freddie, Brian, and Roger in terms of vocals and why?
Freddie, Roger, Brian. Roger beats Brian on a technical level, but really they're pretty close I think. Roger does raucous really well, Brian does tender and warm really well, but Freddie beats both of them in both ca...

We Will Rock You & We Are The Champions (Raw Takes)

One question about the backing vocals in Queen songs
Let Me Live. Otherwise all Queen.
