I will be referring to this site constantly, as I'm sure most other Queenzoners will, to iron out those little inaccuracies you see time after time elsewhere. It niggles me when I come across blatant mistakes on other websites and books so it's great for you to take the trouble to do something like this.

Actually, there is a video, at last. Someone managed to get a decent enough video of BoRhap from last Sunday, and it's me doing the solo on stage:

It seems that some metal shredder in the comments didn't like my solo. All I can say is... note for note perfection is not all that it takes to be a professional. In fact, if it was a contest of who was the best reader or technical player, I wouldn't have even gotten in the door. To me, rock and roll is about the emotion and expressiveness of the performance. And - studio and live are two completely different things. Hope you like!

What´s bad about it?- I think it´s Great.
I play guitar, and believe me that i know it´s not easy to emulate Brian Phrasing because he has the tendency to play "out", between countings if you know what i mean. I don´t know how to explain better in english, but even guys at guitar techniques states this side of Brian playing. He has a very distinct phrasing because of this.

You're right... Brian often plays behind the beat. But I'm not really trying to emulate him. He has definitely influenced me as a guitarist, but so have many others. There are points in the show (the Killer Queen solo, for instance) where we're trying to perfectly capture the LP, but there are just as many moments where you're simply being yourself. As you know, the guitar is a very personal instrument, and no two players are alike.

That´s what guitar is all about-or any other instrument! It´s a way of expression, and each one expresses in different ways. That´s what some people don´t realize in this forum when they´re trying to say who´s the best.
Before i started to play guitar i was very arrogant and could only hear Brian. I was like Atheist talking about Brian (OK, maybe not ; )
But now, i feel so humble watching the great guitar players out there. The time they´ve put to master the instrument.
I feel that Allan Holdsworth is out of this world, but have you ever listen to a guy named Shawn Lane?
Because Shawn Lane had achieved a level on the instrument that is beyond comphreension. And he was the most sweet guy on earth. Very humble!
One of his goals was to play Art Tatum music on guitar, and Indian stuff too!

Simply put... most people will never have the tools to begin to understand what Shawn Lane was all about. They think he's just playing a bunch of random garbage, but they couldn't be further from the truth. He was pure genius.

What matters is that we´re lucky enough to hear those genius and to be touched with their talent.
