On Don't Lose Your Head the lyric is "Don't drink and drive my car, Don't get breathalysed" not paralysed so it makes a bit more sense.

A while back I had decided that Queen's worst album was either The Works or The Game, however, recently I have changed my mind. At this point in time I think 'Jazz' is possibily Queen's worst album. Single wise it does pretty well, however, the production of the album is awful. The drums sound too small and also the ordering of the tracks sort of don't make much sense to me. I can't help but think that they should have started the album with 'Let Me Entertain You' with a more grander approach and then continued on with another composition of their choice. Another thing is the ending. 'More Of That Jazz' feels like a filler with just a bunch of songs within it to recap the album. I would have much rather seen the album end with 'Don't Stop Me Now' for obvious reasons. Don't get me wrong though, I love the songs on the album. My favorite is probably 'Leaving Home Ain't Easy'.
As for all the other albums that people claim to be their worst albums, I'll leave a few words.
Hot Space, of all the albums, should be respected. It's more of what Queen does best; experimentation. The recording quality is also commendable. Whether or not it was a success on the charts I don't care. I still feel it's an album fans should be proud of.
'The Works' is the one album I might agree with as 'one' of their worst. However, that's only because it's what basically destroyed Queen's popularity and respect in the eighties. Personally, I love it. It might not have many songs, but damn were they good. Then again, this is only my opinion.
I heard somebody on here say that 'A Kind Of Magic' might be their worst album. To me, that's a load of baloney. I think it might be one of thier finest moments actually. It's not only the soundtrack to the motion picture Highlander, but it's also a fantastic album that became an actual fully-fledged Queen record.

I'm surprised no one said Made In Heaven. I think it's their worst, by far.

The composition writing and recording of 'Made In Heaven' initially began early in the year of 1991 in which Freddie Mercury felt particularly inspired and motivated to create one last Queen album before he died. Unfortunatly, only three new songs were composed for 'Made In Heaven' during Freddie Mercury's lifetime (Mother Love, You Don't Fool Me, and A Winter's Tale). In fact, it was Freddie's wish to complete this work for an eventual album release according to Brian May, "Right up until the end Freddie asked me for lyrics and music that he could work on and he was adamant that his material should be released." It is in my opinion, and I'm sure many others, that this album fulfilled Freddie Mercury's wish to release yet another Queen album before his death. Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon put together a state of the art posthumous album that did justice for not only Freddie Mercury, but the band themselves as a whole. The production was beautiful and I found the meaning behind the '22:33' long bonus track. If you listen carefully you can hear Freddie Mercury talking in the background which can make one sorrowful indeed. It resembles the immortal spirit of Freddie Mercury. Not just the bonus track, but the album as a whole. I don't think it was one of their worst, rather one of their best and most emotional albums.
I agree with everything you said there. Made In Heaven although technically a Queen album should not be grouped together with the others as it was basically 3 of them putting together songs without their lead singer and co-songwriter of the past 20 years. It has good moments and not so good moments but I say leave Made In Heaven out of this topic as it can't be judged the same as the albums before. The track at the end with parts of Freddie talking is very moving in my opinion.
Aside from Flash Gordon, probably The Miracle.

I'm not saying that. But listening to it now, years later, sorry... I don't tear up or feel sad. I'm over it. Listening to the album now only merits my 20 minutes of greatness. I'm not a big fan of re-makes or re-takes. Never have been.
Seriously, how can you listen to Track 13 now and get something out of it? Dare I say with a good computer studio, some lessons, the ability to import wave files, Athiest could create a similar piece.
I don't think Freddie wanted ripping, biting guitars on IWBTLY. It's not that kind of song. Yes, the Guitar work is vintage May, and fantastic... it just changed the colour of the song to me. What was wrong with the B-Side of Scandal? Probably was my favorite B-Side. This is too 'produced'. Made In Heaven shifts too much from Angry, Ballsy guitar to peaceful, angelic voiced Freddie. Should have played guitar all the way thru, sounds like a "half-re-make".
Again, just my thoughts... Not an attack.

I'm sure the band includes it but they cannot possibly think of it in the same way as all the others before it. Yes it does have the Queen name on it but it wasn't recorded in the same way so I still say it is not right to include it in the worst album debate. Personally I don't like what they did to I Was Born To Love You compared to Freddie's original either but they only had a few songs and not enough to make an album with and everyone knew Freddie left unfinished tracks and people wanted them released so what were they meant to do, release an album of 4 songs? So they took some of Freddie's solo work and did them up in a Queen way. I really like the originals better too but they hardly destroyed his songs. Look at what the Beatles did to John Lennon's unfinished songs Free As A Bird and Real Love. They ended up nothing like the original unfinished demo's. They have the Beatles name on it too but how can you compare them to the 60's songs? Well in my opinion you can't but it is only my opinion.

I think all the songs re-worked for 'Made In Heaven' were much better than the originals.

Count me among those who aren't huge fans of any of the three albums between The Game and The Miracle.
Hot Space has a few really good songs and a few really bad songs, so it's hit and miss.
The Works, eh, roughly the same deal. Radio Ga Ga, Hammer to Fall, and Is This the World We Created... are brilliant, Tear It Up and I Want to Break Free are great as live songs but lacking in their album incarnations, and Man on the Prowl, Machines, Keep Passing the Open Windows, Machines and It's a Hard Life are just hard to listen to.
A Kind of Magic, though, is the one I consider their worst. For one, I *barely* count it as a true studio album, as it's largely a soundtrack for Highlander. It has two good songs to lead off, but unfortunately they sound like they could be the same song at points (One Vision, AKOM). Friends Will Be Friends is a blatant attempt to get back to the Lap of the Gods Revisited/We Are the Champions style of crowd involvement, and as a result, it's much more fun watching 70,000 fans at Wembley sing an abbreviated version than it is to listen to the band force their way through a 4-minute track. Who Wants to Live Forever is a beautiful song, and easily the album's best. Outside of those four songs, the album is just bad. That's right, I'm not a fan of Princes.
The group really redeemed themselves with The Miracle and Innuendo, but AKOM really takes my vote for worst. There's just not much of interest there.
The band's best work, imo, was started by Queen II and ended by ADATR. After that, the albums started to feel more like tailor-made singles bookended with filler (few Queen songs annoy me as much as More of that Jazz for that very reason...can't think of a good closer? Let's make a clip show of the entire album!)

I'm excluding Flash Gordon here. Overall I'd have to say their worst album is A Kind Of Magic. There were only a few songs on that album that I liked, and even those weren't that great. Hot Space is a close runner up, but I guess I'm not choosing it because I really don't think it deserves as much crap as people give it. It's really a pretty good album as long as you don't mind that it isn't very Queen-ish.
