Masterful playing and great singing in a rock song with cringe worthy lyrics. I'd put this in the bottom 10% of the Queen catalogue. Nothing good, special or new about this. I'd say it's a musical collaboration with Roger taking a bigger role in the lyrics. Honestly, if this were any band but Queen there would be no notice of this song. They could write and play this in their sleep.

You're probably right about Roger's influence on the song.
My initial thought was that it was Brian's based on the recycled riff, but the lack of melody in a hard-rock song smacks of latter-day Roger. (after Strange Frontier... like the harder Cross songs).
He's much better on mid-tempo poppier songs.
I'll admit though that it's good to see them again. They all look healthy.

I just listened to the four songs that should be on the new album. Take love and war boys have potential to be good, unless they ruin them. I don't like the new version of say it's not true, I think roger should have sang the whole song. the song doesn't fit brian or pauls voice, and Brian's solo is overplayed. C-lebrity is crap. The song was ok until the shitty chorus.

so your measure of how big an artist is is if their songs appear on american idol.. ;) paul is one of those few singers whose talents has not lessened one bit with his age, he has just grown better. bought the free compilation chronicles last week, and its amazing from start to finish. it almost seems unbelievable that 40 years later paul is still singing and performing his ass off like never before.

He's truly one of the best in rock history, but let's face it, bo rhap, rock you/champions, AOBTD, Crazy Little thing, Under Pressure will always be bigger than free and bad company.
