Haha,
Fatty is my idol =)
Evil will always triumph 'cause good is dumb.
Zebonka -- just keep talking and proving my point. It's so like an idiot like yourself who has no grasp of words or ideas, let alone empathy, to drag out that n-word chestnut. People get shot by people, Zebonka. People with small brains like you.

I wish I was a fat black woman
Will you two just blow each other and get it over with?
Well, one is in Australia and one is in the US.

Perhaps a LONG DISTANCE REACHAROUND
Thank you very much.

Apologies to Steve Howe
Zebonka -- it's called an allusion; look it up. It might pepper up your otherwise deadened prose.

Contrary to what you might think, I don't spend too much time pointing out how misguided, hateful, homophobic, and intellectually dishonest you really are. Your 6000-plus posts, however, indicate otherwise in your case; that you will go on ad nauseam until people just give up.

And listen, Mr. Zebonka, I don't pretend to read your mind. I would not want to do that. Instead, what I have done is point out how idiotic you look to me in the writing of your posts. You might be Mother Theresa or Ghandi, I don't know. You might be one of the greatest orators or musicians in the world. The texts of your posts, however, indicate otherwise. And that's all we all have to work with.

What's become clear to me is your aggressive lack of self-regard, your utter lack of being able to step back and read your own posts self-critically, is something you should know is a major fault you have, and perhaps you should work on that. I can live with that.

But it is a poison to these QZ boards. I will be reading a post about Freddie's demo recordings, and you will just post some idiotic AIDS joke or gay joke. There's others like you, to be sure. But you strike me as one of the worst.

It's as simple as this, Zebonka: I think you write stupid and ignorant things--I try to tell you how you do this with textual analysis, quotations, support from outside sources.

You say they're not, and to support yourself you add more misguided comments, insults and idiocies.

As I said, I don't spend too much time doing this. I type fast, albeit with lots of typos, to be sure. It's fairly easy work pointing out how misguided you are.

I love everyone. <3
I'm sick of all my kicks.
Jigaboo is a word in Scrabble, right?
Here's the kicker, Zebonka -- I am not gonna even read your post, not that closely at least. You have far too much time to wrap around your idiocies. It's kind of child's play debating you. It was too easy last time; this time I am just pointing out you're an idiot. It's kinda fun to see you write hundreds of words on nothing. If nothing else, it keeps you away from making AIDS Monkey-Michael Jackson gay jokes in other threads. I get it--you think you're funny when you make "fag" jokes, as Fatty must think, in this post.

I was listening to so-called "sick" comedy records and movies before you were born, and believe me, you're no Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, South Park. You think you are, I guess. Perhaps you should study comedy a bit if that's an endeavor of yours? Your 7,000-plus posts indicate that might be the case

My opinion that you are a humorless bigot person is my opinion, sure; there's no way to prove these things scientifically. You think you are a comedian. Guys like you depend on that relative judgment.

Looking forward to insulting you around the boards. Call it a hobby.

This whole sorry affair reminds me of an incident that happened on Christmas day last year.

We were having our traditional Christmas lunch of deep fried pizza with all the trimmings when my nine year old daughter decided to entertain us with a joke she had found inside a christmas cracker. "Why didn't the skeleton want to go to the Christmas party? she asked. Myself and the rest of the family deliberated on this for a moment or two before having to admit that we were unaware of the reasons prompting the skeleton to decline an invitation to said festivities. It was then that my daughter explained to us that it was because the skeleton had nobody to go with. She was of course alluding to the fact that the skeleton had "no body".
While both my wife and her mother seemed to find the joke mildly amusing, it did little to tickle my funny bone and, not unlike Mr Nester in that respect, I was compelled to point this out to my daughter. I explained to her that whilst the joke in itself was relatively inoffensive and I have nothing against skeletons as such (some of my dearest friends are skeletons), it simply wasn't funny.
She then told me to lighten up a little and it was at this point that I took my belt to her. Suffice to say we haven't spoken since.

With the benefit of hindsight, I suppose the best course of action might have been to ignore the joke but unlike sane people unless a joke makes me suffer a rectal prolapse at the very least I feel compelled to point out their shortcomings. You may find me a small and petty man for doing so but when someone attempts to make me smile, they had better make a good job about it by golly or they'll hear from me.

You may turn off your sarcasm detection sytem from here on.

Okay so both Zebonka and myself may have made jokes that weren't to everyones liking but at the end of the day they're still jokes. They're still attempts to make people smile. I cant speak for Zebonka in this respect but the reason I try to tell vaguely amusing stories on Queenzone is because I'm just another attention whore. The only difference between myself and attention whores like Greg Brooks and Jake Britt is that I try to achieve positive attention by making folk smile.

Well that's all I have to say on the subject for the time being.

peace and love to both Daniel and Zebonka
fatty.
Fatty -- I think your explanation is far more reasonable than that from Zebonka's, who gets all relativist and willfully ignorant that there may be people who would be offended by the these jokes on a board dedicated to a band whose lead singer was gay and died of HIV/AIDS.

For the record, IMHO, your post was actually much more funny than Zebonka's attempts. Contrary to what my posts might indicate, I am a fan of "sick" humor, especially when it serves to an end.

(The recent New Yorker Barack Obama-as-a-Taliban member cover, which sent up people's fears and urban myths about him, is a recent example:
http://www.newsweek.com/media/62/new-yorker-cover-obama-michelle-joke-vl.jpg)

And there's the rub: Zebonka compounds his mistake by coming up with far-fetched explanations of why his jokes are funny, and why I am wrong in not getting his jokes or simply leaving him be, while, if he decided to take on your tack and sort of say, "yes, I understand how you might be offended by that, I will bear that in mind here in this public forum," I would let the matter rest.

Thus far, Zebonka has not taken on that strategy, and I would be remiss not to point this out. He simply says he has a right to prattle on and about.

Let's take one example. For a long time, you could go onto many forum topics, and there Zebonka would be, posting something along the lines of "AIDS. AIDS AIDS. AIDS." This, he thinks, is not only funny, but it is satire. His explanation? His repeated use of "AIDS AIDS AIDS" is allusion or nod or homage to the "everybody has AIDS" song in the Team America movie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3FZOL3oZxo). Which begs the question: How does that scene in that movie, which itself was a send-up the musical Rent, relate to Freddie Mercury's death? Does it mean we should think it's *funny* Freddie died of AIDS? Or that we mention it here? While the Team America movie might have had a point sending up a musical that uses AIDS as a main plotline, what point does Zebonka have? Thus far, all Zebonka has come up with is allusions to the monkey that started the HIV virus, 'arse-fucking,' and other gems.

I complain about this. The response? If you don't get his jokes, Zebonka says, then shut up. I think he should take his act elsewhere, although there is a part of me that respects him for sticking to his guns. The fact that he is another Queen fan is definitely in his favor, and I think he even has a Burns Red Special, which makes him even cooler. But what an effing idiot!

To be sure, I am still a little confused why anyone would be compelled to make AIDS and "fag" jokes on this board, however, just as airplane jokes must not go over so well on John Denver boards or shooting death jokes might be answered with cricket sounds on Sam Cooke or Marvin Gaye boards.

Sure, I am all for freedom of expression, and reserve the right to serve as the self-appointed sheriff of the homophobe police here and elsewhere.

Call me an idiot(or, gay, or, just type AIDS--I don't care), but, I don't get the humour. What makes typing,"AIDS," or, "Freddie takes it in the arse," humourous? You say it is a joke...and, I do have a sense of humour, it is just that, in this case, I am not seeing what the joke is.
Perhaps, if I understoon THAT much, I wouldn't be so offended.
What I am seeing is an obsession with Freddie's sexuality and manner of death, as it seems to come up in every thread, here, about Freddie, and, it seems to be the same few folks doing the bringing up. So, if not an obsession, what, then? And, if a joke(as you say), what sort of joke? I know magicians do not like to share the trick, however, I see no harm in a comedian(?) explaining the joke.
It is all random

Why is it a joke?

He did. That's basically what gay sex is. I must have not been paying attention on the day the UN ruled that gay behaviour was funny!
I think that most of us are familiar, one way or another, with the mechanics of gay sex. And, I am willing to consider that, occasionally, a visual of such a thing might strike someone as being somewhat humourous, just as the visual of some of what heterosexuals do in the bedroom might strike one as humourous. I just don't get what makes it humourous enough to warrant mention so very often. I certainly don't often hear jokes about Brian's sexual behaviour, or, John's, or, Roger's, very often.
Why is Freddie's sexuality that much funnier?
