Scroll down for one of many of Zebonka's "AIDS posts." Apparently, they're not jokes -- but Zebonka is not serious, either -- he's just baiting people, people who are apparently too serious-minded or hypocritical when they take offense to this.
In this topic, some of us mustered enough energy to stand up to Zebonka the Homophobic Bully. One of the other posters say they "don't know why" people write such homophobic stuff, and that's why they don't go to Queenzone. Zebonka seems to love this.
Notice how, on the next page, he baits other users as they ask if he "gets laid." Zebonka loves this. He makes AIDS puns on the Queenzone board, and then he fights with other people.

Well, Zebonka, even though there was some information about AIDS, the disease is just that: a disease. Like any other disease, there is an etiology associated with it, people who are highly at-risk. But even then, people who engage in risky behavior don't always get the disease. For example, I walked outside in the rain without an umbrella. In other forums, you engage in a classic gay-bashing tropes about monkeys in Africa and all of the stuff that we now have the benefit of knowing. Did Freddie Mercury get World Health Organization research delivered to his doorstep? No, he was in the dark the same as everyone else. But you start and perpetuate your own myth that it was Freddie's fault that Freddie died.
How utterly hateful and abhorrent. You sleep sound, I imagine, in that sleep only idiots can have.

This entire debacle (vaguely amusing three days ago, less so yesterday, and as infuriating as a festering bedsore today) is devoid of any intellectual dignity. You claim to be an English professor? Sir, I humbly request that you set down my language and back away. Slowly. No funny moves or rambling, outrageous exclamations.
I'm not a frequent poster. Why? I have a general disdain for people namecalling across a wasteland of satellites and cables. I find QZ amusing, irritating, occasionally helpful. Zebonka, in particular, I find a consistently entertaining presence (except when he's complaining about the oddles of women who will never love him).
Above all, I loathe fervant and purposefully dense ideaological crusading. Any irritation QZ members may have felt concerning Zebonka's posts has been completely eclipsed by your board-hogging tirades. You don't like him. We know. As to why you find it self-gratifying to rabidly mock a human being you've never met and cannot, in all honesty, appraise...that's anyone's guess.
So please. Take a valium. If you do indeed teach English, I would urge you to spend some time immersed in a fine piece of literature. If this message seems somewhat antagonistic, well...I can't truly apologize. I won't paint a rosy picture of myself, either--I fly off the handle sure. Queen is something very dear to my heart, and to read posts by some shmuck desecrating their legacy is something I have zero tolerance for. I teach my students writing and grammar, sure; but I also teach them to think about what readers might think of their writing, their arguments, their opinions. Most Queenzone posts are simply sharing information and enthusiasn for the Greatest Rock and Roll Band Ever.
