What gigs in 2009 are you going to see?

These are some of the ones I'm going to, the first two I already went to.

Metallica (January)
Fleetwood Mac (March)
Simply Red (March)
Franz Ferdinand (May)
No Doubt (June)
Depeche Mode (twice ...and possibly 3 times in August)

I also look forward to see when they announce tour dates around New York...

Billy Joel & Elton John
U2 (although I'm partially considering on boycotting them)

I expect Jessica's list to be quite long :-D

I still hope for a Queen + Paul Rodgers gig this year

I wanted to see Simply Red, but learned that Valeria, a Russian singer, would sing at his concert. And this fact only put me off the concert. She`s disgusting, absolute pop of the pops, elderly Britney Spears or even worse. It was a silly move for S.R. to invite such a worn-out, got-everybody-tired-of-her kind of star.
And, please, why would you boycot U2???

I saw Take That live, quite by error last week.

I've gone off gigs, a bit.

Would like to see Morrissey.

Oh, I saw Russell Brand in February.

I've got tickets to see Michael MacIntyre in November, if comedy counts...

And I've seen Les Miserables about 10 times this year, and I'm pretty sure I'll be going again veeeeeeeeeery soon.

So, from that, I think we can all agree that my idea of a "gig" is somewhat different to everyone elses. I like theatre and comedy.

Believe it or not I'm going to a gig in May. 

The Killers

Probably that's the only concert I'll get to this year, since I live in the middle of NO WHERE with no car and in rural American public transit doesn't exist.  As it is, I have to rent a car to get to Kansas City to see The Killers. 

Super psyched about it though...their new album is SWEET!  :-D
