Thank you very much for the much appreciated share, Rick :)

Maybe that's the best thing to say after all in this topic.
Thanks indeed Rick (and the original taper)

It's a beautiful day, really and it seems so that it will come to a much more beauttiful end with this recording reaching my ears.
Thank you Rick for sharing this pearl with us and thank to the great dutch-man for taping. In those days you had to walk in with a tape-recorder or something similar, I guess. Or does a voice recorder was enought to tape a show with great success?
Thank you very much
my best regards
W.

... by the way, I'd rate the sound quality of this recording only as Good...
And there's nothing wrong with that :) Some parts, most of the time the less louder parts, sound a tad better. In the end, it's a subjective matter.
I do hope you like it, notwithstanding the average sound quality.

I wish I could share more rarities, but this was my only gem, I'm afraid...
You forgot that Earls Court first gen. video of yours.
Would be a nice share I think.
Sounds odd, but Peter's version is better.

I have to agree with both of you. I'd rate it as something between G+ and VG- . Still, it's an uncirculated master so who are we to complain :-)

Rating the sound quality has nothing to do with complaining in my view. That's just an objective fact and has nothing to do with not appreciating the upload. But of course, I understand what you mean:-)
I'm really happy with this recording, it's another testament of how great our favourite band was:-)

Look at it this way: While this particular recording may not be of the greatest quality, someone out there is most likely sitting on a decent, complete tape of this show. And now that the complete show is out, it has just lost a lot of it's value and is more likely to get circulated. The first night in Leiden has like 4 different sources as of now, you bet that a couple of tapers were rolling tape on the third night as well.

I've only found out recently. ;-) I didn't have his version then.
In addition, his version went through a whole process of remastering. A splendid job. Mine is just a raw version.

I don't think I mentioned it in the original posting, but this recording has been transferred in a professional studio. So, there's no need to doubt this process.
I also forgot the classic "DON'T SHARE THIS RECORDING IN LOSSY FORMAT HERE OR ELSEWHERE"
:-)
