Me thinks that MJ's kids are probably not going to be in serious need of money in their lifetime...

Me think that as well. How can you raise money for kids whose father owns 100 millons in sells. Rise money for people dying in Africa or any other causes.
Im sorry for the poor kids who lost his father, it must be devastating for them but let's get realistic.

MJ was reportedly $500M in debt at the time of his death. Ouch.

I don't think these songs will be released, but we'll see what happens.

I'd like to see the songs released, the demos sound great

If it was in yesterday's paper then there IS a source.
Which paper carried a quote from Brian?

There were no Queen songs with Michael Jackson. Freddie recorded some songs with Michael, but Queen were not involved.
This will be a rights issue between Freddie's and Michael's estates.

Actually they ARE Queen + MJ songs, since the Queen guys finished the songs in the begining of this century

It Was reported yesterday that MJ was infact in debt with $300+ but his estate was worth over $1 Billion. $300 million is small change on the grand scale of things. Me thinks his Kids will do alright. But it would be good if "Victory" saw the light of day.

I just asked in the QOL Forum what´s behind the info posted by Peter above and this is the reply from Kes:
"There was a story about Michael Jackson meeting up with Brian May and Roger Taylor in a London recording
studio, a few years back, but as far as I'm aware, they were only together for the one day. It was in the
"lead up" to the series of Michael Jackson reissues, so I guess the time frame would put it around the time
you mentioned. A lot of Queen fans hoped the meeting would move the three tracks along, and get them
released, maybe as bonus tracks on the reissue of the Jackson's 'Victory' album, but up to date, they haven't
so far appeared.
The tracks that have been leaked on the net, I believe, came from a cassette copy that was sent to Freddie
via the Queen offices, which was then at some point duplicated, and that's probably why the quality isn't
brilliant on them. I also believe that Freddie wasn't ever sent a copy of the song 'Victory', and that's
most likely why it hasn't appeared on the net. It seems MJ's side of things was a bit more secure, as I
think very few of his demos have ever leaked without him being the main instigator of those leaks, whereas
it seems there's definitely someone in the Queen loop who takes great delight in exposing whatever tasty
bits of the archive they are allowed to access, and copy."
cheers
