I suppose the long...... awaited anthology will follow on from these tracks which are to be released, can't see why they should be,because ever since freddie passed away we were told every year or so that EMI were going to do something but nothing happened.

Has anybody got a good clean copy of freddie and michael doing there must be more to life than this or is it the same version doing the rounds.

If you have a look a this wiki you can read about the Victory's Jacksons album:

Outtakes
"There Must Be More to Life Than This" (w/ Freddie Mercury)
"Doing Dirty"
"Far Far Away"
"Power"
"Bad Company" (That Bad Company??!!!)
"Pyramid Girl" (Early version of Liberian Girl
by Michael Jackson. The song was later considered for Michael Jackson's
album "BAD" but was reworked, rewritten and released as Liberian Girl.)

"Nona"
"Born to Love"
"Still in Love with You"
"Tender"
"Buffalo Bill"
"State of Shock" (w/ Freddie Mercury) (Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson)
"Victory" (various versions, a Jacksons solo cut, a version with Freddie Mercury and a version with the whole Queen band)

Another wikipedia says: "The lead singer of Queen, Freddie Mercury, recorded some songs with him during the recording of Thriller: State of Shock, There Must Be More To Life Than This and Victory. None of these was never officially released, but the manager Jim Beach, said they intend to publish in the near future."

So, who have this demoes? QueenProductions? MJ?

There were no Queen songs with Michael Jackson.  Freddie recorded some songs with Michael, but Queen were not involved.

This will be a rights issue between Freddie's and Michael's estates.

Actually they ARE Queen + MJ songs, since the Queen guys finished the songs in the begining of this century

Well. I don't know about Queen finishing the songs at the start of this century, but Victory HAS been given the Queen touch according to GB at convention one year. I expect that this probably happened way back in the 1980's, but it IS always possible that it happened in the last decade when Freddie's boxset was put together.
There was a time when there was talk of it appearing on Jacko's anthology set.

I'll believe it when I see it.  Queen fans usually end up dissapointed with this type of unreleased stuff. We'll see what happens.

Come on then Pittrek - have you found this yet?

Nope - didn't think so.......

Me thinks that MJ's kids are probably not going to be in serious need of money in their lifetime...
Let's see...their deceased father was deep in debt, and their grandparents, who are now to be their guardians, are notoriously unscrupulous money-grubbers...

Don't worry Thomas, they won't ever be short of offers from the media, provided that they really ARE Michael's children.

To be fair, there's absolutely NO resemblence to Michael visible in any of them.

not that I wouldn't want to hear the songs but there's only one from what I've heard and read about that hasn't been heard in any form and thats "Victory', with Freddie that is. there is a reference on wikipedia saying that Queen were involved in a session back in the early eighties-but wikipedia wouldnt exactly be a source to be relied on.
has the time passed perhaps for these releases? especially since the FM box set
That's because he wasn't the biological father. But still, they don't need to worry about money, unless they grow up to molest children and have to pay millions to their lawyers to get them out of the problem.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

I actually remember something about Brian and Roger working on the Freddie/MJ demos. Interesting that he mentioned that as it reminded me about that tidbit of news I once read. I may be wrong, but it might have been a snippet on BrianMay.com. Maybe... But I definitely remember hearing that news around the early 00's.
