Great news!
I only hope that the "Queen will tour again" has nothing to to with Adam Lambert.

Oh how exciting! A new Roger Taylor track...and yet....it is political...which 99% ruins the song. How horrible. Even if it is of my own political persuasion. Political songs not only are the worse but get too dated as well. I hope that this is not for any new compilation....

I tend to agree with AlexRocks. Never been a huge fan of political songs. I want to hear Rog singing about women, cars and hangovers! You know, the heavy stuff! haha Regardless, it is still good to have a new Rog song.

Yeah, I think more is learned about Afghanistan from simply reading a few reliable sources and then drawing one's own conclusions. Better yet, you could go there and be a suave Sean Bean kind of hero.

Roger why don't you write about something really compelling? Maybe a song where you list all of the different positions you nailed the Breakthru chick in?? I bet that was one hell of an acrobatic evening!
I don't think it's a good idea for roger to write about sex and drugs at the ripe age of 60. lol.

Well maybe he should.
Fun In Space is a great album, and Starnge Frontier has some great songs on it.
Happiness & Electric Fire pale in comparison :(
He proved with Cosmos Rocks that he can still write "proper" songs, so I hope we get more of the same.

the new Roger song and the UK tour are good news, I hope he come also to Italy!
I would be very happy for a new Queen + tour but not with talent show singers!
Great news!

By jiminy, this could be embarrasing. In remembrance week too. There's a time and a place for "issues" in music, but Queen are in danger of becoming that charity/aids/"issues" band that everyone hates. And let's face it, Roger doesn't have the writing skills to construct a song about weighty political issues. Hopefully, six and half minutes of this will be a drum solo, and the other 30 seconds, Roger trying to rhyme something with Afghanistan.

Ha ha! My money is on a typical Roger line of "you've got Afghanistan going down the pan"
Remember, you heard it here first!!

Perhaps he'll update 'We didn't start the fire':
Ayatollahs in Iran, Americans in Afganistan.
My initial excitement at seeing the title thread has vanished...

The fact that its meaning is political does not necessarily mean that it's in-your-face political.
Call me crazy, but maybe we should hear the new track before critiquing it.

"fall out between Brian & Paul"- our Doc showed his temper :)
Roger's single- sounds like good news, we'll see...
Queen will tour again - and it makes me wonder.... about line-up...
