Actually "vielen" doesn't mean "a couple of " but rather "a lot of". So there would be a lot video-projected Fred.
A "Elvis The Concert" would admittedly be the ultimate regressive experience, but think for a minute : Roger, Brian & Holo-Freddie were already staples of the QPR tours, and hardly the shows' weaker moments :
Love Of My Life
39
I'm In Love With My Car
There Are The Days Of Our Lives
A Kind Of Magic
Bijou
Bohemian Rhapsody
I think I'd love it (more than any Adam Lambert related project, anyway)
They wouldn't get John but if they did that would be Queen, no arguments there !
PS Fun Fact : "In late 2007, Elvis: The Concert opened up for The White Stripes on their European tour". How about Queen featuring Freddie opening for Julian Casablancas ? :P

It's moot now but if I had a choice between seeing Q+PR and seeing Brian+Roger+ScreenFreddie, I'd choose the latter in a heartbeat. At least that way I can shut my eyes and imagine Freddie's there.

They should rummage around in the archives and find some alternate tracks for Freddie's bits though, just to keep it a bit new and surprising.

I don't care what anyone says about the Q+PR tours, Brian busting out Bijou when I didn't expect it was spine tingling, I really adored that bit. I'd happily throw my last dime into seeing a Queen show if it was backed in parts by a screen-Freddie.
There's a line between a tribute and a cash-in. The big screen shots on the Cosmos Rocks tour were done tastefully, but without a proper lead singer, I'd be a little concerned Roger and Brian would over-use the big screen and the band would become a horrible cash in. They need a proper lead singer (Klaus Meine from the Scoropins would be my choice) or they need Roger to take over most of the vocals and let someone else take over the drums.

Klaus Meine? I don't know why, but I have a feeling that he could do a good Princes Of The Universe.
I'd love to see Brian and Roger simply performing together some not tricky songs. They could share the vocals. Just a small tour for those who really wants to hear that. No plans about stadia.
They could perform with a name "Maylor" :)
Do you think I'm a dreamer? Ok, then....

I heard from a respectable source (a guy at a bar who had heard one Queen song) that the fall-out between Brian May and Paul Rodgers was caused by a few rather nasty on-tour incidents. Apparently Paul had simply breached his contract with the band. The rumour is, that it was in his contract that he was to study stereo photography (why not the lyrics to Queen songs instead?) and read a few chapters each night from Brian's BANG! The Complete History of the Universe. Apparently Paul slacked big-time with his contractual homework, failed to participate in discussions about the beauty of stereo photographs, and failed to engage in intellectual intercourse with our dear Dr. May.
Let's face it. Brian May is ruining Queen with his weird antics and stereo photography. Let's campaign to have Brian replaced as a guitarist! Who's with me???

ok, only in rogers dreams would he be able to write a song like bo rhap, MOTBQ, ECT.
But why would any grown human being dream about writing someone else's songs, other than for maybe monetary reasons?? I think those are marvelous songs but I don't wish I'd written them. Why the hell would I want to write like Freddie? So I can become like Valensia? (ie. tribute act).

I quite agree; I hope I don't make it sound like I hate the album ... I just wish someone could strip some of the 80's off of it.

LOOL!!!
The beginning sounded like something Roger would do, very Touch The Sky-ish... then when the metronome started... hahahahaha.

To be honest, it was banned purely because radio and TV completely misinterpreted the song and based purely on the title thought it was pro Nazi as opposed to anti Nazi; this was also around the time that Schindler's List was everywhere in the media and the song should really have been enjoying the same far minded treatment as that, as the content and message were of the same mind.
Heh, more like they just didn't bother listening to it. I mean it's pretty hard to misinterpret "we've got to stop these fucking nazis".

I agree - it would be a nice experiment if Mike Moran could go back to the master tapes and strip off all the syths and replace them with the real intruments that are being imitated.
he wouldn't be messing with Freddie's vision of the songs (in fact as co-writer he has as much right, if not more, than Brian and Roger have to re-arrange , for example, I was Born To Love You!), but could update and freshen up the tracks to give them an authentic vibrancy that they deserve.

Initially I thought it was another joke, a collage of some of his songs with fan-made nonsense instrumentals. Then I realized that although I knew the melody/melodies, I didn't know the lyrics.
Maybe it still is a joke by Roger, but I'm afraid it's not.
