hmmm maybe Super Bowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium in
Arlington, TX. With a record capacity of 105,121 last season and the
largest jumbo-tron in the world, there is no question that Super Bowl
XLV will be the sporting event of the decade.

FREE and BAD COMPANY star PAUL RODGERS is keen to rejoin QUEEN
bandmates BRIAN MAY and ROGER TAYLOR again - for charity shows and
one-off spectaculars. The rocker spent four years on the road with
Queen before walking away to concentrate on his solo career last year
but he insists he's open to replacing late singer Freddie Mercury again -
as long as it doesn't involve a lengthy tour.He says, "I really,
really enjoyed it... (but) I didn't want to lose my own sense of
identity. I felt that I was being sucked into another entity."(But)
we've left it open. So, if there is some charity work or some shows
like that to do, we could come back together and do that."

It's fine. He did a great job with style and without losing his identity. I'd like to see them working together again.

QPR has had its time. It was no more than moderately successful in terms of quality, bit it did at least get Brian & Roger off their arses and playing music again. I doubt though they'll play as Queen again: I think we've seen the last of that particualr brand as a working band. Roger seems to have rediscovered his taste for playing live, but Brian's too busy saving the mushrooms to play any decent music any more.

Good one!

I hope it's not true. While it wasn't a disaster, I don't think that May/Taylor's association with Rodgers was all that impessive. No, what I would love is the following headline; 'John Deacon is keen to be a part of Queen again.' :D

I think so too. But it does not bother me, its no big deal. The fact that they were not on the Band Aid single, Live 8, etc bothers me more. And not just becos these were charity events.

Why did it bother you so much? Live 8 I can understand, but the Band Aid single?

A Message to Paul Rodgers.  You are out of your depth. Queue for tickets like everyone else that's the only way you should be allowed into a Queen show LoL,

Buy yourself a copy of Queen Live At The Bowl or In Montreal. See the Master in action, Nuff said.

If half of The Who can do the Super Bowl halftime show, why not half of Queen?

That said, there are plenty of acts I'd rather see than Queen. Foo Fighters are at the top of my Super Bowl wish list, especially after Prince completely randomly covered their song in his Super Bowl set. I'd love to see them play a minute or so of "Purple Rain" just to return the favor. ;)

If there thinking about $$$$ and publicity then the Super Bowl next year would be a perfect fit.
Just daydreaming about what a grand stage this would've been for Freddie.
