[QUOTE]now; as for not doing new material - they did play half of the tracks on the new album during the tour.
as for soundchecks; I have a feeling that especially Brian is very peccable when it comes to this

They played Surf's Up, C-lebrity, SINT and Cosmos Rockin' at every gig. They did We Believe and Voodoo a couple of times, plus one appearance of Time To Shine. Not bad, but I wished they had played stuff like Small, Some Things That Glitter or Through The Night instead of the usual Break Free, Love Of My Life or Crazy Little Thing. Or just other stuff from the back catalogue - like It's Late, Son And Daughter or other tracks which would've suited Paul's voice a lot more than using him to sing 'the hits'.

not forgetting Warboys which they did in russia. But I see what you mean!!

what a treat it would have been to hear small on the  catwalk.

and I'll never understand how they didn't do "save me" with paul - I hear it in my head from time to time. as well as it's late.

Rodgers might've made a good stab at Keep Yourself Alive too, but they played it safe with the 'hits'. It's Late would've been very interesting.

I would have suggested Steven Tyler after his little spat with the rest of Aerosmith, but they patched up their differences at the moment and have the $$$ in their eyes again for this summers dates.

Neither Aerosmith or Queen have done anything creatively new or stimulating for a long time (LOTS of 'best of' packages from both bands!) but I do think that Roger, Brian and Steve Tyler could actually do something good; Tyler at his best and of the 'creative substances' is far more musically interesting than PR.

Steven Tyler sucks, doesn't have range, and could never sing Queen's catalog.  He got laughed at when he went to London to audition for Led Zeppelin last year.

somewhat off topic, but steven tyler does indeed have quite a range! especially in the high register. he never uses falsetto, but really goes for it

Aeroshite have been using a keyboard player onstage for decades.  He's the one hitting the high notes in concert, because Tyler can't do it.

Last summer they announced that on the tour they would be playing all of  "Toys In The Attic".  Well, Tyler couldn't
sing "You See Me Crying".  They attempted it once, then it was dropped.  Tyler than did the chicken dance right off of
the stage and that ended the tour.

Nah.  That song is pure Brian.  I'd hate to hear Paul do it.
