3/ I second Bob's request. If there is something we don't have here on Queenzone, we'd be happy at least to know what shows / recordings you talk about, and we would be happy to get that from you, a serious collector with a large knowledge about Queen live. Should be a good way to "promote" the book here on Queenzone. But it's up to you !
Sorry but all the tapes I got from that time are now readily available in better quality. Remember with tapes they used to wear - the tape would stretch and the sound would speed up or down. The first tape I made (well it was my sister really) was a recording on my Dad's tape machine with the mic as close to the mono TV's speaker - that was the Hammersmith Odeon gig in 1975. After I got in touch with likeminded fans and we swapped and traded pictures in magazines and 7" singles for other live tapes etc.

It hasn't worked for me for nigh on 6 months and it's blinkin annoying :(

@ brians wig
If you go to your messages, select the send message tab, and manually enter the name of the person you want to mail, then it should work. That's how I was able to pm you too. Takes a couple of days though, I think.

Sometimes messages don't send, though. Be sure to copy your message to your clipboard and be ready to paste it in again if it doesn't say "message sent" after you try to send it.

Excellent, this will be a safe buy.
A question that arises for me, since in the Queen's official website, mentions that disc will, and video. "Will some unreleased recordings of crazy tour? or better yet, is there any unreleased video of the concert by the people of Kampuchea (Cambodia)? (Silent Night or Bohemian Rhapsody)
It would be great if they were, as this tour is perhaps the best tour of all time Queen, on the other hand, is not integrated in this great concert video, and many fans, but this mono acting, I would like to hear.

.... Perhaps you should give us a download version of the book before release. For corrections. Nothing against you, but after all, Greg has his hands in the game..............................................................

While I'm on here I would just like to say thanks to everyone who has contributed photos and other pix. Not only through here but the other Queen sites too. Some of them are excellent and will make the book all the better. Thanks again.

We all hope the book will be amazing! A band as good as Queen live certainly deserves that.
Also, try to write something about the quality of the performance (be honest). Was Freddie's voice in great shape or did he have a cold? Was Brian having a great night or was he rather uninspired? etc.
Such things are nice to read, especially for shows of which we (fans without acces to the almighty archive/rare audience recordings) have no audio recording.

will the book be 1970 - 1986 or will it include the tours with Paul as well?
sorry - didn't read the thread thoroughly

Was Brian having a great night or was he rather uninspired? etc. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ I think that to cram the book with personal opinion from the authors about any of the guy's performance on a given night is not what this book is about. It is a factual account of what happened over the years from 1970 to 1986 and we don't want to make comments about certain gigs as this is all subjective and would not be shared by everyone else. I have listened to many shows and thought wow this is great....but another person is not of the same opinion....so who is right? There are a few comments in the book obviously about some shows but the majority do not have an opinion.
