......yeah. It takes a LONG time to copy and paste and re-format material taken from various websites on the net.

Really? My research involves listening to live shows and interviews with the band from over the years, some of which have never been heard and certainly not recorded at the time. That's as well as interviewing various people around the band and collating new evidence about live concerts that have never been listed or known of before.

I'm not being pedantic, but how can you listen to something that was never recorded?

I meant recorded by people from the radio at the time.

GT, I think Benn was referring to accusations leveled against Greg Brooks that he lifted various bits of concert info from websites and sources such as QueenConcerts.com yet failing to provide credit at the same time.
I think this was with the 2nd revision issue of that Queen Live book.

Mmmmm, that was a different time. But I do know that the guy who runs QueenConcerts.com is thanked in that 2nd edition.
It also has to be addressed that many websites lifted info directly from GB's original Queen Live book onto their own sites, as it was the first source about Queen in the live domain, but no big deal was made on GB's behalf.

GT, re:

.......as maybe, but it didn't take a genius to work out that it HAD been plagiarised and I'm still not sure there was ever an actual apology from Greggy Boy.

So they plagiarised plagiarised material; big deal. *Most* of the information in GB's book, that he made money out of, was taken from other sources without thanks or acknowledgement. He set himself up to be fair game. What he did was indefensible in terms of being the 'official' archivist; his 'position' put him ahead of the game in negotiating a publishing deal. He's nothing more than a bootlegger.

I'm looking forward to the book.
I'm also hoping one of those unheard things could be released with it (or as download or something...)

The plagiarism accusations had way more to do with the 2nd edition published in 2005. Please stay in focus, Benn.

It's coming out on the same day as Greg's 'I Want It All' memorabilia book, which incidentally is the same release date as the Queen Archive Box Set release....
