I seriously enjoyed the second edition, even when it included tons of both "errors" and "bulls*t" . A few suggestions - more information about the most important concerts - like Knebworth, Freddie's Tribute, which concerts were filmed professionally ...

That was what I thought…..

Maybe it's not too late for you… I hope so

I wish you a speedy recovery

If you liked the last edition then you will love this one.
What you suggested has been done.
Thanks.

Gary,

Does the new book refer to the existance of ALL live, recorded material in existance in the band's and their private archives.  Both audio and video?

I think that to cram the book with personal opinion from the authors about any of the guy's performance on a given night is not what this book is about.
It is a factual account of what happened over the years from 1970 to 1986 and we don't want to make comments about certain gigs as this is all subjective and would not be shared by everyone else. I have listened to many shows and thought wow this is great....but another person is not of the same opinion....so who is right?
There are a few comments in the book obviously about some shows but the majority do not have an opinion.

That's fair enough GT

It would however be good to see 'one off' factual events covered though, like:

Did Brian break a string and have to use his John Birch copy guitar, and if so on which songs?
DId Freddie's voice fail (not personal opinion, but fact) and so Roger had to cover lead vox?
Did Freddie ever sing I'm In Love With My Car to cover Roger forgetting vox?
Did lights or PA ever fail and plunge the venue into silence/darkness mid gig?
Did the band trash any gear, if so what instruments and on what songs (and why if known)?
Did any special guests appear on stage with them? (eg Fish in 1986?)
What 'celebrities' or other musicians were in attendance at which gigs (if known?) It would be nice to know which of their peers and contemporaries attended their shows.

I know some of the above have happened, whilst others are just examples of one off events that could happen.

Can you let us know if these types of factual events can/will be covered?

Cheers

Will the format (size in dimensions) of the new book be of a similar size to the first edition? I do hope so... I thought the layout in the first edition was better because the book was of a larger size.

Thanks cmsdrums

All the points you raise have been covered.....in fact most were in the book already. I have just added a few more.
If you know of any other celebs that came to watch them live apart from who was mentioned before then do let me know.
Also any other bits of info you think fans would want to know about, then just get in touch.

Thanks again.

Hi Planetgurl,
Yes the book will go back to the larger size format and be a lot thicker than before too. Nothing is confirmed yet.
The cover will be different and much better too.

After all this is going to be the ultimate 'Queen Live' book and the extra detail and layout will be the best that we can make it.

Hi GT

I have some very interesting Earls Court pics. A couple have been displayed but taken off various websites. I would be happy for you to use them with a credit. How can I discuss with you privately?
No Freddie, No John.....No Queen
