It's so funny, to see how every idiot makes a tracklist with 10 songs he has seen on YouTube.

Seriously.. I hope Brian and Roger won't do this. And I seriously doubt that they will. I see no reason why Brian and Roger would want to go back to the garbage they threw out over 25 years ago. It was discarded back than because it wasn't good enough. Why go back and use them, when they still can write great stuff.

Seriously.. stuff like Face it Alone is so musically uninspired. It sounds like Freddie is working off a groceries list.

Thanks for calling me an idiot. Really appreciate your beloved words to me and people who ARE exited about these potential plans. For your statement that the songs, which were not released were not good enough, is not correct. Of course there are demo's which have some Freddie vocals are not gonna be realesed. Just the almost finishes songs that are not on an album for various reasons. Just like the Made in Heaven tracks which have Freddie vocals and harmonies and can be reworked in a kind of format.

Brian and Roger did work on some of the MJ/Freddie tracks, Lady Ga Ga, Tome Chaplin and others . So it could also be another Queen + album. I doubt if John will be involved.

First of all, sorry I called you an idiot.

But, what makes you think that I'm incorrect about songs being discarted because they weren't good enough.

I don't think Made in Heaven was created with a lot of discarted material. If I'm not mistaken only It's a Beautiful Day was a discarted idea from 1980. And the rest was definately not discarted

It's a Beautiful Day - An idea recorded in 1980 (discarted)
Made in Heaven - Solo recording (finished)
Let me Live - Uncertain*
Mother Love - Recorded after Innuendo, for the new album
My Life has Been Saved - B-side from 1989 (finished)
Born to love You - Solo recording (finished)
Heaven for Everyone - Solo recording (finished)
Too Much love will Kill You - 1989 Recording (finished)
You Don't Fool Me - Recorded after Innuendo, for the new album
A Winter's Tale - Recorded after Innuendo, for the new album

There you can see it's a misunderstanding that Queen were rehashing old unfinished material. It's mainly re-takes and re-recordings of material that was previously finished ór was written especially for the new album.
Let Me Live is uncertain, there are rumours that it was recorded in 1983, but I have never seen any proof of this.

Also, I hardly can think of any other reason than 'not good enough' to stop working on an idea. I think the most of the stuff that hasn't been released (apart from alternate takes) will consist of early versions and idea's, like most of the stuff Greg Brooks has been showing us over the past decade in conventions. Songs like I Guess We're Falling Out, Face it Alone and so on are really early idea's for songs.

A thought that scares me is they might have guest-singers like Lady Gaga and such... That would really ruin it for me.
You know, giving contemporary artists a chance to duet with Fred. Horrible!!

They will almost definatly include one of the Michael Jackson collabs. But that's ok imo.

I'm sure there's stuff that has an almost complete manifestation, that was left off particular albums because they didn't conform to the general mood or theme of that album. god knows what is lying in the vaults that we don't know of . Let me in Your Heart again would be an amazing track to hear with a freddie vocal and the queen treatment. Made in Heaven was also constructed to have an harmonious feel to the tracks, where as if this is released as a collection of unreleased or reworked demos then the fluidity and sound of the album could be put to the background in favour of some amazing previously unheard tracks. Cant fuckin wait. that is if it ever comes to fruition!!

It's true that Made in Heaven was a great album, with a coherent feel to the tracks. BUT, as a mentioned before, they were mostly finished tracks to begin with. And not idea's that weren't good enough in the first place.

There may be a couple of (more or less) finished tracks out there. But I really doubt it would be anything musically interesting. Don't excpet a second Innuendo. Or a second MAn on the Prowl, even.

I have a suspicion that the news 16 years, just now added a moment with Paul Rodgers, gave a tinge of novelty.

That´s a great news. Anyone remembers a while ago when Brian says that he and Roger are workng on Freddie and Michael Jackson tracks?
Now he says that they are working on an album with unreleased and unfinished demos.
Join 2 + 2 and you have the answer. Maybe this will be true after all

I wonder if this is what they will use the Queen-vamped  "Jacko"  tracks for?

Great GREAT news. Great title would be 'MADE OUT OF HEAVEN' or DOWN TO EARTH

Can we think of a tracklist let's say 13 songs:

+ Dog With a Bone
+ Robbery
+ Self Made Man
+ Face it Alone
+ Lost Oppertunity
+ Assasin
+ My Seret Fantasy
+ New York, New York (this one would probably be there Since Brian say various times he loved to see this song released)
+ Back to Storm
+ You are the Only One
+ Friends in Pain
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Rainbow released an album called Down To Earth in 1979

maybe a more fitting title: Queen : Some Stuff We Found While Cleaning Out The Cupboard
go deo na hÉireann The best QZ epoch: BG17-00 (Before Gerry 1996-2013)
