According to the QOL admin the DVD box sets won't be seen until 2013. This years releases are already planned. So I would assume we'll be getting reissues of Live Killers and Live Magic this year.
Well, not bad. I was hoping for box sets this year, but I'll wait :-)

South America isn´t a country but part of a continent... i think the Sao pablo gig hasn´t a good video quality, even official it looks like a vhs... Argentina has a little more video/audio quality (maybe they have more footage since they wanted to do a movie in these days)
Sorry if I offended you, I'm not really an expert when it comes to the Game Tour. I don't know which dates in the CONTINENT OF SOUTH AMERICA (yes, I know it's not a country, I passed grade 7 Geography) were filmed. That is why I put "South American dates." I could have just as well put "North American dates" or "European dates" there, but I knew which ones were filmed.Once again, I'm sorry if I offended you.
Please, don´t worry you haven´t onffended me! i´d be a fool if it offended me
In South America they visited Argentina (5 gigs, 3 in buenos aires 1 in rosario and 1 in mar del plata) and Brazil (2 gigs on san pablo) but i don´t know if the gig in Venezuela is considered as a South Am. gig (even when that gig is from a different "leg" of the tour)
Now i have to say sorry if i offend you...
No worries :)

I think Queen should take after the Led Zeppelin DVD with these box sets. There are many shows where only parts are usable. I would suspect something perfectly fine (Rainbow 74) to be a standalone release outside the box sets.

Led Zeppelin DVD is in fact a weak desicion. Any LZ fan knows that standalone releases of complete RAH 70, Earls Court 75 and Knebworth 79 are more reasonable choices. Same situation with Queen 70's live material. Complete Hyde Park 76, Earls Court 77, Houston '77, Paris '79, London '79 shows are perfect for standalone or box releases.

Look, there obviously isn't complete footage of Hammersmith 75. So it will most likely take the place of RAH 70. Having the second DVD being footage from Hyde Park, Earls Court and Houston. Let's face it, the LZ DVD is more realistic then getting complete shows.

Certainly not. Zeppelin were well past their peak in 1975, and Page was completely smacked out on heroin at the Knebworth 79 shows. None of these shows could be released in their entirety. Seattle 77 was even worse, so it couldn't even be considered.
The Song Remains The Same is a cut and paste job too, so the reality is - barring a few songs from 1969, Royal Albert Hall 1970 is the only decent footage of raw Zeppelin we're ever going to see.
As for Queen, of course I'd love to see anything from the 70s released, but realistically - a set similar to the Zeppelin 2-DVD is most feasible, with a few songs from things like Rainbow, Hyde Park and Earls Court. Although I'd kill to see a multi-night compilation of Rainbow or Earls Court... or even Paris 79.

Tell me Bob. What are your predictions for these 3 box sets?
Liquid Scream · Member since
I would rather see them do something similar to Kiss' Kissology DVD series. Multiple complete shows, television appearances and other odds and ends.

I'm sure we all have that dream but the reality is it's just a dream.

My predictions are as good as anyone else's. We all have a pretty good idea of what's in the vaults, so as long as the footage has stood the test of time, anything is possible.

I think they must digitalize all the footage they have even when they wont release it...

Much of the material on Kissology is annoyingly cut down, in much worse quality than it is available in elsewhere, or just a poor inclusion choice. I think LZ DVD is a much nicer model.

The first volume had complete shows. I do agree that there were too many cuts on the other volumes.
I just like the idea of having footage that isn't good enough quality to be a stand alone release getting out there in some form. The single camera video of that early Kiss show in a bar on Volume 3 is great stuff.
