Yes, Microwave, the only people who care about Adam being the first out and proud gay artist to have a #1 album are gays, parents, relatives, friends of gays and people who support the LGBT community. Because it IS important and societally significant. And here we are full circle. Back at the beginning of my comments on this thread. Now go have yourself a cup of non-homophobic tea.

Complete idiot nailed it.  It only matters to gay people... like you.  And again, I could care less what you do with your privates.Ellen was funny, too.  But then she had to bring her privates into it.  Now she's really not that funny anymore and her audience is afternoon housewives and you, Michael Allred.  She changed her agenda from "I'm gonna write some funny shit" to "I'm going to be gay and proud of it".  Which means if Adam Lambert doesn't evolve and continue to put out the kind of music he does, it won't last very long and some other gay artist will parade his lover around and on and on and on....  we just won't be listening to it twenty years later.[/QUOTE]

Her audience consists of afternoon housewives because her talk show is on in the afternoon in most markets you fucking dunce. Ellen has and always will be mainstream humor, she's not suddenly going to be attracting hipsters. I've never thought she was remotely funny but you keep refering to "privates", WTF is wrong with you you ignorant mongoloid?

Ellen did totally blow it on that sitcom. The last funny thing that happened was her "I'm gay" announcement over the airport PA. It was all downhill from there. It's hard to assess whether even in failure it was a step forward for mainstream acceptance, but it's not hard to assess how bad that show got once the show became all about Ellen's gayness. I remember the episode where it was 30 minutes of getting Ellen from her couch to her bedroom for her first experience with her first female lover. Substitute heterosexuals, zoo animals, ameoba, whatever, the problem was that the show was stupid and breathtakingly dull. That's what equality looks like. However well-intentioned, however socially motivated, if you write a dull, stupid show about being gay people won't like your dull, stupid gay show. Not because you're gay, because you got all dull and stupid about your gayness. I don't watch her daytime show, but I think it's successful, so good on her. I'll assume she's hit the sweet spot of being funny and entertaining and only incidentally gay. Shouldn't that be the goal in the end for society as it relates to gayness? Almost complete irrelevance?

Yes, Grateful Fan. That is what AL calls 'post-gay" and it is something he, and all gays I imagine, are striving for. In every article or interview that is ever written about him, it states Adam Lambert, openly-gay singer, or some such bullshit. He longs for the day where it can just be Adam Lambert, singer. But we are not there yet.

And Ellen's sitcom did not fail because of gayness. It failed because it was not funny. You can't get much more gay than Modern Family and that show is funny as hell.

Actually, it was pretty funny. And her standup routines were too. After the lesbo episode, though, things changed. Even GratefulFan will back me up on that!

But I think the real problem with this thread is the homosexual agenda. All you homos seem to have one. And you wantto be culturally significant... for being gay. WTF?!?!? There's nothing significant about making a sexual choice. Guys have been banging other guys for thousands of years. Why do you all of the sudden need healthcare, equal rights, and now significance for making a #1 single on a music chart?

You don't see me marching because I want my girlfriend to be covered by my HMO. She has a job... I have a job. Both have insurance. And we both paid for our own education.  Pretty simple concept.

Plus I don't believe there have been any GAYS ONLY bathrooms or drinking fountains. Stop trying to elevate yourselves to the "oppressed" category... you're not even close.

But gays have been murdered just for being gay, you know, like KKK style? You're right. Oppressed is too mild a word. I love all the people who say these type of thngs about gays. I'd love to hear them change their tune if they found out their son or daughter were gay.

And, microwave, what if you wanted to marry your girlfriend and wanted her to stay home with the kids? Wouldn't she be covered under your health insurance?

Speaking of gay, this is a song Adam cowrote on his new album and is representative of the Adam I love so much. My last post. I know you will miss me, especially Zebonka.

"all you homos" is all I needed to hear from your fucked up, small minded, insignificant self. you are beyond clueless, beyond hopeless. you will never contribute anything worthwhile to this planet, to mankind or the universe in general. I would say I pity you but I don't.

So have Heterosexuals... like KKK style...  What about homeless people?  The are terrible stories about beatings and killing of homeless people.  What if one of those victims pulls through and manages to release a single that shoots straight to #1.  Would THAT be culturally significant then?

You should have been aborted, I would have gladly thrown your misbegotten fetus to the dogs for a snack.
