This E-book is absolutely stunning but confirming that The Rainbow will be released on DVD is the same as me telling everyone that i am santa claus which i'm not.

I am quite wary of their marketing techniques now.

In the promotion for The Great Pretender DVD, they said: "Among the treasures to be anticipated, “The Great Pretender” includes for the first time ever Freddie and Rod Stewart singing their demo for “Take Another Piece of My Heart”, and then, what happened ?  This "treasure" was only for one second in the dvd.

Not exactly the same thing. He wasn't very hyperbolic at all. All he said was that in the coming weeks they were working on a Live At The Rainbow DVD...package thing. That's it. No hyperbole. No marketing techniques...Just mentioned off the cuff as a way content in the book would be updated.

This is a good thing. It means Brian confirms what Greg was talking about as a Rainbow Project is in the works. And the fact that they want to integrate it with the e-book means they have more reason to get it out there.

This is a good thing.

The problem with marketing techniques goes both ways. People here one small drop of information and extrapolate it out to what they want it to be and then when it doesn't match that blame QP for misleading.

The more I hear these mentions about the Rainbow concert on DVD, the more I believe we shall see this concert on DVD. The first long-awaited step to releasing 70's concerts. And I don't care of it's going to be a compilation - most importantly, just give me that.

I'll believe when the DVD it's in my hands. Hammersmith was also confirmed as a next DVD release in 2009 (even the BBC broadcasted the remastered version) and untill now there's no word on what's happened on why is it taking so long to release it.

With Hammermith Odeom was mentioned later than Rainbow. Maybe that's because of this. Especially since I don't remember where was speech about release this concert on DVD in 2009, only airing at television

I agree with Popy in that I'll believe it when it's on my shelf. Hammersmith 75 is the lesson here.

Even IF it is released it will be edited to hell and have so many overdubs it is only half 'live'. Wankonor.. please make your signature less protrusive.

Yes and the lyrics he's quoting is subpar... it's not even good Queen.

That's some good news.I wonder if a double CD will also be released. I really suspected that Hungarian Rhapsody was one project that needed to be released first in their minds for Blu-Ray and now there will be Rainbow, Hammersmith and a "Live Killers"-type compilation in the works

If the version of Now I'm Here on the Greatest Hits 1 DVD is of any indication, that's definitely not the case. They removed the vocal overdubs that were present on the Rainbow VHS release.
