Do you think? I'd have to disagree but it has been a few years since I watched it.
Freddie is in pretty bad voice at the rainbow, I know that from watching it at the SIS exhibition where the audio was a dry soundboard mix. He is frequently way off key throughout.

I expect it to be overdubbed to hell.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't they have two nights to cobble the best performances and Freddie really can't do any overdubbing now, can he? Or do you mean fly vocal parts in for other shows? Frankly, I wouldn't care if it was seamless. I'd rather have a finished project with the highest sound quality rather than a sub-standard performance kept intact. I'll admit I'm not really that interested in this project as the bits I've seen and heard didn't impress me. Freddie doesn't sound that great and that's my main lure to Queen music.

Well, one way or another without overdubs they will not release it.

I'll be happy if this concert will be released. And It doesn't matter compilation or not a compilation.

Another re-release?? Rainbow is something every Queen fan has been dreaming of for ages! Your whole phrase could be considered a crime.

Yeah, You`re right, this is another re-release. I have tones of this re-release, but now this is something new and I hope I can throw all my tones of VHS for new DVD release aka your so called re-release.

From Rhys Thomas:

"There are two nights of the Rainbow 74 shows, November gigs (when Killer Queen was the hit of the moment). The sound is not good on one of the nights but you could cut the two shows together and make a brilliant single Rainbow show. Most shows in those days they filmed two nights and cut between the two."

They have two nights to work with, so they should be ok. Maybe they recorded other shows from the era too. Either way, I'm sure the product will be brilliant in the end. They haven't released a bad concert DVD yet.

World should be ending in 2 hours if my memory serves correctly.

If this is released it will be the best thing they've put out in years. Re-release or not, and regardless of Freddie's form, vocally speaking, it'll still be something which we don't currently have, which is a document of their fantastic stage show as they performed it in the early-mid 70's (as an official release, without any songs chopped up into 'medley's and whatnot).
