Despite the fact that my ally J.C. is not a great speller (sorry J.C.), he has produced evidence, if you will, that proves Queen fans are no different than Glamberts who are no different than any other passionate fan base when it comes to voting in these ridiculous polls. Zebonka and G.F., please take it real slow for me. I'm not grasping what you are saying. What J.C. has copied and pasted are polls not by Queenzone but by other media outlets in which Queenzone members voted. Here is a quote from Queenzone about one of the polls. "You can vote in every 30 minutes in 3 different internet explorers,if you are the real fan like me." So get down off your high horse, Grateful Fan. And here's your punishment. Listen and tell me these aren't awesome vocals. Whoops! Gotta run. Just saw a new poll!

I tried paying attention to this thread, but I just stopped caring because it kept on going back and forth and going nowhere. That's usually a good sign that it's time to cool it, at least for now.

"Zebonka and G.F., please take it real slow for me"

Hey, you leave me out of this. All I said was that the person who was posting thread links wasn't really being terribly specific, beyond saying that Queen fans vote in polls, and that they would better illustrate their point if they broke it down to actual examples of people padding the votes.

You posted a quote, which is nice, but on balance I think you'd have a hard time proving that the vote rigging in the Queen community is as endemic and broadly visible as it is among Lambert fans. I don't say this in a judgemental sense, but he's only where he is today because of those fans that hit 'Vote!' as often as they can afford to, so it isn't really any surprise to me that those fans are still of that mentality. Even though the votes aren't really achieving any purpose.

And, I really have to repeat this last point - I don't care about polls. I don't approve of any votes, legitimate or otherwise - I'd be happy if people stopped taking part in polls altogether.

I think that's a huge part of the dynamic. It carried over directly from AI, not only in the 'vote!' paradigm, but in the sense of having to right a wrong - in their minds Adam was robbed of the AI win by a staid and homophobic voting public and continues to be hobbled by homophobic and cautious DJs and station managers. And homophobic YouTube commenters like you. What the world needs is Adam forced front and centre over and over again. Then the world will see. That his appeal is actually limited does not seem to occur to anyone.

There is a thread on the official website that has never been far off the first page for more than three years. It's mission is stated thus:

? The Starlighters' Mission Statement ?
"The Starlighters were formed in 2009 to ensure that Adam's Star will always shine the brightest. Our goal is to help Adam Lambert become one of the most well known stars in the world. We vote for him in polls, stream his music, request his songs on the radio, and comment on various media outlets. We promote his professional endeavors with respect for him as an artist. We will follow his lead, and 'embrace the differences' of others with respect and dignity, and encourage his positive message of Light and Love."

There are almost TWENTY ONE THOUSAND contributions to that thread in three years. And that is just one thread. There are others on in the same vein which come and go. You'd be lucky to find a straight 21 posts here advocating spammy voting over a ten year history. The highlighted quote from a Queen fan was from a tepid 5 year old thread, and most poll threads in recent months and years are overwhelmingly ignored or disparaged. The cultures are so vastly different that it is fankly absurd that I need to be arguing this at all. This conversation has run its course for me. It's a great big world and people are free to hold on to whatever thoughts please them, illusions and all.

Sorry to say but I attended these gigs and they really rocked. It was hell more of a audience participating as the Queen + pr gigs.

Some +
- the lightning
- the sudience response ( made even bm cry)
- the atmosphere
- the connection of al with the Queen audience
- fire works , dry ice and smokemakers

Negative points
- those al fans. A fat russian woman
got angry at me. After spending hours with her the fat pig got angry at me , without any reason. Perhaps this 6'8 ft man was in front of her in the que? Please notice I did not make any joke of Stalingrad,Communism,Lada's, the a average age of a russian male being 56 when he dies, that they are all drunks, they helped the nazi's during before and after the WWII,in a country of such a vast dimension inbreed still seems to be the standard, i am going to be longer on this earth as moet of the time of this aging dino passed by already for this old odd woman. She got furious at me without any good point. When I asked for a reason she could not give a anwser.

This and the other AL fans were very annoying. But Queen rocked ! The rig , the sound, the feedback.... It was great !

So I really hope this queen+al will tour in 2013

Haha, you singlehandedly made the thread slightly more interesting for me.

I can't imagine anyone getting angry with such a delightful person as yourself!
