Ok so say that's the reason, why not fix them? fans have been crying out for these for decades so why not just do it and be done with it?
[/QUOTE]

We've all asked the same questions a billion times before, but it definitely hasn't made them release a single concert yet. How can your advice help us?

I'm not offering advice, I'm asking the question to GT
I am aware it's been asked before but i have never seen a reply from an official source.

There has to be a genuine reason, either a business case or creative issue, I don't understand why it's so difficult to answer? if it's a no it will never happen, fine, but why??

This is what Rhys Thomas has said about Earls Court:

"Earls Court exists but the sound needs a lot of work for a surround sound mix. Picture wise it's good, but only a mixing tape -ie. no rushes like Wembley for example."

Yeah I remember it, man. I hope 2014 we will see EC 1977 with Houston 1977

Sorry dude, I got it wrong. And yeah, many people have tried to ask it before but no proper answer has been given to date yet.

But hey, let's live in hope, huh?

I think there could be a few reasons why it might never happen, but knowing the people of this website I don't feel generally fine revealing these reasons because it may lead to some unforeseen consequences.

The pictures are obiously a fake. Of course EC would be a dream, if it needs overdubs in the first songs, overdub the thing, damm it!

When the true release the EC gigs in great quality comes, i'll fangirl, i'll fangirl a lot.

EC doesn't deserve a release. Well, the second night maybe (if it's really complete). The first show is not that great. Overrated. The highlight for me is the RnR-medley. Also, some pretty weird camera-angles.

Hyde Park 1976 does. It's a historic concert for Queen. Interesting setlist. Great camerawork. A big ass crowd. The bootleg video is terrible, though. But what has been officially released of the concert looks and sounds stellar. Release the complete gig, with the helicopter footage, interviews from 1975-1976 and I'm a happy fan.

Keep on dreaming, I guess.

Whatever they've got in store for us, Rainbow seems the closest thing we might be getting sometime soon. But your post about Hyde Park is a good one. Wish it would be released after Rainbow.

I agree wholeheartedly. But I've become disenchanted with this group that we'll ever see anything fully interesting; oh sure, we've got the ballads comp with a "new track" coming out this year, and the Rainbow show is an eventuality, but we've been burned so often in the past – as pittrek said, "You forgot Queen's second EP, the BBC sessions box set, the 1999 album with guest vocalists, the Queen + Robbie Williams album, the 46664 studio album, the anthologies box sets ... :-)" – that I just expect nothing anymore.

I can't get myself excited enough even about the Rainbow show to care that much, because Roger or Brian might wake up one day and decide to go out on tour with the latest flash-in-the-pan, which justifies, in their minds, the postponement of a really interesting product. It's a strange way to operate a business, and while I understand their logic for not issuing the anthologies (even if I don't agree with it), there are still musicians who have released archive sets while still putting out new material – Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, and Elvis Costello are four I can think of off the top of my head.

So these occasional visits by Greg Brooks (and more worthwhile ones from GT, who seems much more level-headed all around) telling us what's in the archives are increasingly becoming less like "Here's what's gonna be on the anthologies!" than they are "Here's what you're never gonna hear/see!" And I can't blame them either, because they're fans, just like we are, and want this material out too, but QPL are going the least-common denominator route and issuing compilation after compilation, with the occasional Magic Tour show thrown in for good measure.

Pass. I'm ready to give my money to a band/musician who's willing to give me something that I want.

The biggest disappointment is that Rhys chap saying it's no good for 5.1 sound. So what?

The Rainbow show is just boring now, same with Hammersmith '75. You know when a pal holds a sweetie out for you and keeps snatching it back at the last minute and chuckling? Suddenly you don't want the sweetie and you think your friend is a bit of a c-nt? And it's not like you've never had a mars bar before.

Sadly, I do honestly think the last good Queen DVDs I've ever bought were in Camden Market in about 1998.

They rarely even give us proper surround mix anyway, it's usually an upmix from stereo. And they didn't have any rushes for Budapest, Montreal or Milton Keynes, so neither of these is an excuse not to release it.

As many 70's concerts on the agenda as possible please!

I'd be happy with Rare Live / Magic Years on a 2 DVD set if anything. At least they're interesting period pieces.

That's exactly what I hope we get as bonus discs to the rereleases of the live albums, which are planned for 2011, sorry 2012, sorry unknown date ...
