Queen Live DVD box set

ER Dancing to the tune of QPL releasing NOTHING WORTH after last documentary about Queen and Freddie Mercury.

I think this is a great set even though i have them on DVD (apart from Rio)...But i think you are all missing the point, i will stand corrected but i think thats all the offical videos now on DVD :)))

Let's hope Rio '85 shows will receive proper restoration in the future...

I can understand it from a business point of view but obviously I personally would have liked to of seen this concert released as a complete set with both shows, and the extras on TV that were from the time of these two shows in Rio.

I was reading this post and thinking "My God, how whiny are all these people! You can't please anybody", almost feeling embarrased that Gary Taylor would read this and think "Why do I even bother with these creeps?"...

then I read the words "VHS rip"...
Fuck.

I was expecting at least a slight upgrade from that, remixed sound or ANYTHING.
My Rio VHS is PAL and I can't play it. My Laser disc player is broken so I can't play my LD of it. A decent DVD would have been nice.

I have to be honest, since the 40th anniversary releases, Days of Our Lives, Great Pretender, etc., we've have a good run as Queen fans.
This one I think might be the first dud or missed opportunity for me.

At least the terrible contents has taken the focus off the terrible artwork.

I'm really struggling to marry Brian/QPL stance that we often get;

'We can't release anything like Hammersmith 79 because even though we have the original film and a decent stereo mix, we always want to release stuff in the best quality possible and so wont' issue this without having access to the multitracks',

compared to:

'Hey, here's an idea - Let's just rip the VHS of Rio and stick it on a DVD - never mind that it's a butchered cut, the video quality is poor and the audio mix is even worse. I don't know how the fans will possibly complain, after all we've now removed that picture of John that was back to front on the old VHS cover'
