The idea of Kerry doing an "occasional backing vocal" on a Queen album fills me with horror.
Many Queen albums had guest backing vocalists. Why would this be any different?

and Let Me Live had three female backing singers - and that turned out pretty good
- apart from Brian's verse which sounded a little weak

I never said I'd mind guest backing vocalists. Please, just not her. In any form or shape.

Kerry will defintely keep Brian busy with the Candlelight concerts. Can't see her doing any vocals on a Queen album.
She does have her own life and career.

I personally can't stand Michael Jackson,i have none of his music. On the other hand i like Kerry Ellis and really enjoyed the Brian Kerry tour. She does a great rendition of Somebody to love with Brian. If the album does have MJ on it is a sure no1 album the world over because of all the MJ fans who are sure to buy it.

Seven Seas of Rhye (Queen II -version)

Brian has already said they are working on a track from 93' so my bet is Let Me In Your Heart Again, the Queen version has never been finished, As for Kerry singing with them I can't see why Roger would have an issue? I don't care so long as we get new 'Queen' tracks

I've got no problem with Kerry getting involved with the Queen album, backing vocals or duet with Freddie, did we all freak when he duetted with Montserrat ? Kerry has a great voice and I've enjoyed what she's done with Brian so far, I think we all get a little too insular thinking it must be only the original 4 members on this album, if it's a good album, it's a good album, full stop !!!

I have confidence that if Kerry Ellis is involved it won't be a way to promote her career. (Or at least not significantly so.) Now whether that means she should just sing backing vocals or perhaps sing lead once I'm not too sure. No harm in a Queen+ track, I'd say.

I am more concerned to have an excellent album with lots of Freddie and Brian and Roger (and perhaps John). Stuff that detracts from that is bad and stuff that might not be just the four of them that enables it is still good. Whether MJ or KE or PR or (distantly) AL.

To be fair though, whenever Brian and Roger play as Queen, they are always careful to list guest stars such as Paul Rodgers, Adam Lambert etc as additional artists and never as 'part' of Queen. I give them that for integrity above the likes of Sabbath, Purple, Whitesnake, Toto etc..etc... UK forum members will appreciate the reference if I refer to those bands as being akin to 'Trigger's Broom'.
