In an effort to listen to what you're hearing with the Darkness and Foxy Shazam. It actually sounds like you're jumping on some accusation bandwagon that really, like I said, has a bit of truth in ONE album. But then again, maybe some close minded individuals have passed on Queen because of Hot Space back in the day. The Darkness has a lot more in common with AC/DC, Aerosmith, Boston and the "Classic Rock" sound... Foxy is more artistic in their approach with a tinge of Queen.

EDIT: The two songs I heard were "With a Woman" and "Everybody have a Good Time" prior to that I knew "I Believe in a thing called Love" and "One way ticket"

if ronnie dio joined them in the 90's after freddie died and they did a innuendo tour that would be awesome. he is his own man and legend, his voice was incredible and he could hit those high notes and he also had a commanding stage presence and charisma. what really could you ask out of the frontman? and also he is the only musicican/singer along with freddie, gillan in the 70's and possibly michael matijevic that i could imagine singing opera without laughing. i like axl rose and his voice but just try to imagine with straight face him singing opera. [/QUOTE]

innuendo was way to personal.autobiographical and special album.A tour based on that with anyone other than Freddie in charge, especially at that time would, be a disgrace i believe,

This is true, Stelios. My thoughts on the matter exactly.
Have you switched it off and then on again?

As others have said, George Michael or Matthew Bellamy. I think they both "get" Queen.

I think that in 90s after Freddie died it would be way too soon but it´s sad they never crossed their paths on stage. As Dio was with Sabbath in 92, it would be great if he was invited with Iommi too for Tribute....I think that he would be able to amaze everyone till the very end - he still had his voice....

Matthew Bellamy does get Queen but from what i have watched on you tube, his voice in live performances dosen't have much of a "body" or thickness to it.
Just my impression.

And AL's voice has a "body" or thickness to it? Can hit all the notes but has no heft in his voice.

On what gig have you based to that impression? Actually Bellamy is an ace singer live. Of course, he has better gigs than others.

For example, ''Live in Rome'' can be the Muse equal to ''Live at Wembley''. And the last Muse gigs at Coachella he was really ill.

maybe it would be too soon but looking it from singer/vocal/frontman perspective he would be a great choice cos he comes from his own place and had a big character musically speaking, he would hit those high notes and made those songs his own cos he just had that amazing ability to do that, just listen to his singing on ozzy era songs.
