Fantastic tune, but not on the album proper. Does anyone have any info of how this song came about? Why it was left of the album? And was it a collaborative effort or was there a main song writer

No info on origin but should have been on the album IMHO.

What I do is replace Invisible Man with Hang On In There on the Miracle playlist. Also substitute My Baby with Stealin. Makes for a more mature, classic sounding album.

As an album opener would be nice, 'cos it has that mysterious intro. However as it progresses its not as polished as typicaly are Queen songs.Production i mean.

Party, on the other hand is so IN YOUR FACE , as an opener.Blasts your ears from the start.

My alternate Miracle album opener is a hybrid of the 12" version (intro/power chords)/standard versions of 'Breakthru', which is more in-your-face than 'Party', as far as I'm concerned.

Never liked "Party". It just seemed like a lame opener, like I feel "Staying Power" is. :-(

If we are looking for a BLAST/in you face album opener, nothing bits Scandal 12'' version.
Its a MONSTER!
But it is also too "dramatic" to start an album.

This! More like a demo to me once it gets going, whereas Party is awesome and segues beautifully into Khashoggi's Ship at the end!

I think out of all the songs actually on The Miracle and all the b-side songs.......Hang On In There is like my 2nd favorite! Behind Was It All Worth It, of course...........thats just awesome.............

Hang On In There is really sort of a prog rock tinged jamming song............and thats the Queen stuff I love.........
I'll take you to the Seven Seas of Rhye

Wow! For me Hang on in There is probably the worst song in the whole Queen discography! Freddie's worst vocal bar none!

Nice start, but goes downhill rapidly after that. Party, on the other hand, is a true classic Queen rocker. Just my opinion of course, although Queen saw it my way and made Party the opener and Hang on in There the b-side. Having said that, each to their own, as always of course.
