yes it is. want to know why? - then I'll tell you. THIS THREAD has no business being in THIS SUB-FORUM
here's the forum label - and there's even a handy description of the type of things to post here:
Queen - General Discussion Polls, favourite songs and other fun stuff
which of the above does How did Jim Hutton survive so long? fit into? because it sure ain't a poll or favourite songs...so I can only assume YOU have a very perverse mind if YOU think it's fun stuff
Sadly Freddie just missed out on the cocktail of drugs that are essential if you have contracted HIV, fortunately Jim got the treatment and was also a very robust, outdoors character. I was lucky enough to get to know Jim thru the convention, and met him on several occasions, a lovely man, very down to earth, always more interested in what you had to say than hawking around stories of Freddie to all and sundry. R.I.P.
Brenski. You really are looking into something that isnt really there. I just saw "Queen-General discussion" so I thought that suited my topic. You probably need to wind your neck in a little. I have noticed you are like this on here with some people. Your completely jumping on my back. Just calm it a little.
To help you sleep tonight and bring down your blood pressure my answer is it doesnt fit into any of the sub catagories. Actually im pretty new to this forum and was initially replying to another topic which I had subscribed to with an email alert which when you click the link via my mobile phone it takes you straight into the thread entitled FORUMS>QUEEN-GENERAL DISCUSSION -topic so I wasnt aware there was any sub heading as it doesnt tell you when u directly click the link from the email on your phone. I then made a new topic from the thread I was initially looking at.
And breathe!!!
My perception is that it really had to do with Jim's own immune system/genes + treatment, which probably explains that he didn't get full blown AIDS at all. I actually think that his Irish roots have something to do with this!
In fact he told me ones that the HIV levels in his body were untraceable at one time (according to his doctors!). I knew Jim myself for a number of years, and he loved his pints (plural!) of beer and his cigarettes. He lived his live as a normal person not trying to live a particular ”healthy live”. He had fun, smoked and drank as a normal Irish bloke ... and he died of cancer (not HIV, nor HIV had any effect on him passing away)
Hey don't worry about being given out to. If you posted in the wrong section it's not a crime. The criticism you received was not very constructive. It's a problem on QZ - new posters coming up against existing ones and why a lot of people have left the site.
I know. Just best off ignoring people like that. I mean the guy assumed I had a peverse mind because I accidently put this topic in a fun forum. I didnt do it on purpose can do agree to an extent it can be a little annoying if things are put in the right place but to go to an extent like that is disgusting. Id hate to really upset this person. All he had to do was simply point it out to me this conversation was in the wrong place, not to assume I was doing it for some.sort of sick joke.
Jeez.
What you make of Moyes getting the sack? United have been fucking shocking this year but I thought they would let him finish out the season. Van Gaal will be in I'd say.
Barnsleybob don't warry. I believe your question is interesting and even posted in the right forum.
I mean how many bloody polls of "what is your favourite track/album" can a forum handle?
Its been done bizillion times already!!!
As for the fun part, Queen's history it's not only a fun concept. It involves issues and even a full blown tragety.
Its pretty normal and brings new blood to discuss ALL these issues.
As for Jim Hutton, he became a sub-part of Queen's history (as Mary Austin did) either some people like it or not.
The same goes to the disease that stole us our hero.
