two things Stelios:

1. One Vision is still a huge hit song with/without "fried chicken" - I really don't think those two words affected sales in anyway at all - esp when you consider that in those days radio DJs talked all over the beginning and end of singles
2. In my book - the fact that Mary's contribution to queen musically DOES NOT include the lyrics "fried chicken" makes her contribution 10,000% more impressive than Jim's

Also we can say that Mary inspired Freddie to write Love Of My Life.
We can never be sure if and how Jim inspired Freddie's/Queen's song due to LGBT issues.
If inspiration from a special person is considered "contribution" to an artist - making his engines go wild, is debatable i think.
