So this just went up on the QueenOfficial channel, and...... It's interlaced :( The audio however sounds awesome if you ask me!

There isn't anything about that which isn't totally wonderful. They really were a kick-ass rock band back then.

I think the mix is going to be much different on the final version, just like Bohemian Rhapsody's mix on Hungarian Rhapsody was, when they uploaded it on their youtube channel few weeks before release. That version, which was available in 1080p - has been taken down when they released HR on youtube in it's entirety.

Anyway, I think cymbals are way too loud, and i'm pretty sure that master tapes are not in the perfect shape, just listen to bass drum.

But I'm still going to love this release.

How can you make judgments on fine sound detail on listening to something via the internet.

The signal is compressed to hell, unless your listening at a decent volume on good sized speakers and from a medium that doesn't require the ends of the sound spectrum to be flattened your view, both as a listener, and a commentator will always be some what compromised.

When everything sounds decent but bass drum, then it's definitely not a compression thing.
But I hope I'm wrong.

you know - i never really liked this song too much back in the old days (74/75) - but I LOVE THIS !!!
f*cks sake - that's amazing - i don't care how many overdubs were done either back then or now - it still sounds much better than the original cinema release

hearing this it makes you wonder how all that hard rocking talent evolved in a mish-mash of synths and 80s crap

I hope Freddie's speech between songs will be presented complete form!

It's not interlaced, and I'm fairly sure YouTube automatically deinterlaces footage anyway. More to the point, why would it be bad if it was interlaced? The source material is interlaced, so I would hope for an interlaced release.

What we should be unhappy about, is that it is 29.97 fps (i.e NTSC) rather than in its original frame rate.

Just amazing! I defy anyone who claims that they get the same feeling from listening to AL sing this as when Freddie sang it. It's just not possible. Anyone who claims that AL sounds good singing this song is either taking the piss or just simply delusional.

I miss the rattle of the old snare mix :( but love the low freq of the bass drum that adds a different punch to the gig. Plus can't wait for the March gig. which will be great (audio wise)

This is awesome. Can't wait for the full release!
Any way the wind blows...

Of course it doesnt sound the same.

This gig was recorded 40 years ago, line up has changed, they are not young kids anymore. They are in their 60's and even if John and Freddie were alive and playing in the current tour, they would never sound like 40 years ago.
God, you cant even compare Queen in 1974 to Queen in 1984 and they are a totally different band!
