To those claiming it's not interlaced... Take a look at Roger when he's drumming for instance, it's quite obvious.
It really isn't, there's no combing to be seen. It looks slightly "faster" than usual because it's been converted to a higher frame rate, but is not interlaced.

Hopefully (and most likely) the actual physical release will contain interlaced video.

Well, you have to click 1080p to see this. I suppose you don't have a 1080p monitor.

Nah my monitor's >1080p, it's just YouTube not giving me the option in this case. Found the 1080p version using KeepVid, does look interlaced. My apologies Nitroboy!

(I still don't understand why interlacing should be a bad thing though...)

Weird you don't get to choose the 1080p version :P

Well to be honest I would either prefer it to be progressive or double fps progressive. Because (I don't know how it's with Blu-Ray players) the player deinterlaces on the fly with some fast setting so it can render real-time meaning it's not really the best quality - jaggies and perhaps flickering. At least this happens with DVDs that I play on PC.

" Oh no, listen to the bass drum, master tapes are damaged" FFS it`s a 40 year old recording, everything gets sóme damage over time.
Yeah, it's perfectly obvious that analog recordings are going to lose their quality through the years. I'm just saying what I've noticed, that's all. And I actually said that it's still gonna be a great release, just for being Rainbow. Take it easy man, Stop All The Fighting, right?

In my opinion you're paying attention on the technical aspects of a future release when the most important thing that for the first time since 1992, this concert will be released in full. Hurray !
I've got the power to love to live I can't say it ain't right

It's been 40 years since these Rainbow concerts, they're only now just being released in their full length - I think most people think that they might as well do it right the first time.

On the plus side, at least this'll be one less concert we'll have to put up seeing you whine and troll about endlessly for its release

No, from this day i'm starting trolling and whining on account of the concert in Hyde Park, which is kind of not going to release.

So it seems to me the interlacing only occurs at 1080p, everything below that and YouTube deinterlaces it?

Everything on Box of Tricks was from the 20th right? Has any footage from the 19th been ever been released? I have heard recordings but never seen any video.

The video you have seen is a compilation/mix from both nights.
Don't forget my collection of demos and outtakes: http://goo.gl/uQARhn PM me if you want any [leaked] multitrack. Ya se ven los tigres en la lluvia.

Yes, it seems like that.
