Also, is there a 5.1 mix on the DVD/Blu-Ray?
I'd check, except right now my TV's being used and my PC's DVD drive is dead.
Something I found funny - from about the halfway point, there's a number of people consistently shouting, asking for them to play Liar. It must have been a real favourite at the time. When Freddie says his thing about his claws being real diamonds before Stone Cold Crazy, the audience shout 'liar'. He responds, 'They don't believe me!', when in reality, they're still just begging for the song Liar.

Yeah it's funny but amazing!

The stream was a nice "demo" of the work which the Qprod. team put into remastering this gem. Could you tell me whether Roger's shrieks from Ogre Battle (taken from the studio version) were present on the VHS release or are they present only in current release ?

I've said it before but will again; how can they make the drums sound so gorgeous on this release yet have absolutely royally shafted them up on Live at the Bowl?!?

Live at the Bowl was their first shot at mixing a live show and I can only assume that they've learned as they've gone on? Would love to hear it re-done though as it really is bad

It was re-released last year as part of a boxset. I suppose it's the same mix, can anyone clear this up?

First shot? Do you realise Bowl was released after Live Killers, Live Magic, Live at Wembley 2 times, Rock In Rio ...

While we're discussing "weird" vocals on this song... Who's singing besides Freddie? Only Brian and Roger, or does John join in? Once now and then there's a low pitched voice I just can't recognize. Maybe Roger singing lower than usual?
Listening through again, it's gotta be Brian you're hearing - it does sound a bit funny, maybe just because it's deeper than we usually hear from him. But there's also points where it's unmistakably his voice.

Yes, I guess it's just him. But in reply to your previous comment, I guess from 0:40 to around 1:10. Around the "fairy dandy" bit it begins to sound more like harmonies we usually hear on Queen concerts.
Maybe they also mixed Brian's voice louder than usual? It's always bugged me that often on Queen live recordings we see him by the mic but his voice was eclipsed by Roger's and Freddie's.

That seems a strange statement to make; they'd released loads of live audio and video before that, and even the original channel 4 mix sounded better drum-wise. He'll, to keep in topic, they'd even recorded The Rainbow gigs and mixed those to a point as they were originally intending to release them in '75.
There just really is no excuse for the piss awful drum sound on the Bowl release.

I'd say you're right - he's barely audible on many of the concert releases so far, whereas the three are pretty much equal on those Fairy Feller harmonies.

Father To Son is clearly edited from both nights.
After "... goes around, from father to son, to son", you will see an unnatural crossfade in the video.

Another one bites the dust:
The 10 minutes of footage that you have just seen are from a 16mm combined optical print.
They are extracts from a longer concert film, approximately 38 minutes in duration filmed in March 1974, which is currently missing.
