I think it's "you bugger, you", although I accept that not much of the first "you" is audible.

He messes up the lines as usual, too. "Very soon you're gonna read the bible".

My guess is that it's video tape source as well, like the November material.
No it is a bad transfer from the only piece of 16mm which is left.

Check my facebook page for interesting shot. Or open the same picture here below
Could you post a screenshot of March Footage, only one to see the quality. Thanks in advance!

Thank you.

@Oscar J: Yes, he messes it but apart from that the performance on this show is terrific !

I think it was more a case of him cringing at his own lyrics... !

^ 2:44. Compare it to 2:44 of the official release. Brian hit a wrong chord at the show and it was patched up.

On the bright side - Mercury's vocal is left untouched. The old overlap at 3:08 is gone. Thank goodness.

Needless to say - the sound on 3-31-74 is incredible. By far the best Queen live album released to date. Very minimal overdubbing and patch work done.

In contrast with that, on November Modern Times Rock n Roll, he actually gets the lyrics marginally less wrong - instead of his usual 'jukebox blowing, jukebox blowing no fuse', he sings it correctly, i.e. 'With the temperature down and the jukebox blowing no fuse'.

Alas, he goes on to sing his usual interpretation for the rest of the song (temperature life? everybody in this bum sucking world should go far?)

The November version isn't very daring - the March version has less speaking, and he goes for some of the high notes (though he cracks at the first one).

Sadly, nowadays everyone feels the need to compete in the "loudness wars". I would have preferred a little less compression and limiting. When applied this much (as in the CD version) the drums lose much of their impact and sound quite weak.

Or maybe they have done the best they can with the material. I would hate to think that the "newly mixed and mastered to the highest contemporary standard" only means making EVERYTHING as LOUD as possible...

And by the way, what is happening at 0:46 in Father to Son (November gig)? Did Roger really play like that or is the hi-hat somehow triggering a snare drum sample? Usually the hi-hat bleeds a little into the snare mic and at that point Roger is hitting the hi-hat pretty hard (which could have resulted in the snare sound being falsely triggered) But surely no-one could have made such a mistake in post production...?

I noticed that too, and asked the same question over at QOL.

That being said, does anyone have an audio rip from the '92 Box Of Trix VHS that can put up just a small clip to compare that particular moment?

The use of drum samples seems to be pretty common these days as explained, for example, in this article:
