The 2014 remaster stuff definitely sounds hopeful - at least something new, and on gems like Drowse, Spread Your Wings and Save Me!

A new remaster for some tracks? So basically they've done that for some of the tracks that originally featured fades into other tracks as they had to produce standalone versions. Other than that if it is purely a new mastering rather than a remix, demo, or alternate take then count me out.

New mastering is still better than nothing new at all

Can someone confirm if there is (in the archives) Queen version of "I dream of Christmas" ?
I'd hoped that we will get to hear it as the album initially was planned as a near X-mass release.

I think dream of x-mas will be the bside of let me in your heart again.

But Play the Game, It's A Hard Life are stand alone versions, to name a few.......

A while back, I wrote here that I'd be satisfied with only one new Queen song, but now I feel a bit dissapointed because there IS only one new song (at least if the track listings are correct). From the interviews with Brian and Roger, I thought we were getting much more(!) after all this time. But maybe...!
At least the new song seems all right after hearing it about 25 times - wonderful to hear something "new" from Freddie Mercury and Queen.

I can't believe that neither Brian or Roger, nor the press release, mentioned that LMIYHA is actually a cover of an Anita Dobson track - I bet she's fuming!! :-)

I recall a few years ago that Greg Brooks, when talking about the archives and the lack of an anthology release, was absolutely raving about the archives, and said something along the lines of there being a track that no one had heard, featuring the whole band, that was just superb, would leave us all speechless with its brilliance, and was a guaranteed No 1 smash hit single if it ever saw the light of day. Now, I'm assuming that it simply can't be 'Let Me In Your Heart Again', as whilst that's an ok song and it's fabulous to hear Freddie soaring again, there's nothing particularly spectacular about it either song or performance wise (and the song itself was already known due to Brian's version with Anita).
So......in theory we have something superb yet to look forward to (God, I'm ever the optimist aren't I?!!)

In theory yes, but why didn't they dust off "I dream of Christmas" ?
