It's been a long time since a new Queen Release got any attention over here, A shame they screwed this up. What makes me laugh is Brian and Roger had 3 years to make a decent song into a good one.

Let Me In Your Heart Again is, simply, INCREDIBLE - its a real joy to be listening to something genuinely new and interesting. Added to The Rainbow, we're very lucky to be getting this.
There Must Be More To Life Than This - just goes to prove that Michael Jackson had a truly watery, weak, SHITTY voice. Very disappointed that so much effort has been put in to this version as opposed to a re-work of the track from Mr. Bad guy.
Love Kills - the worst re-working of a song I've ever heard - there was nothing wrong with the original from Mr. Bad Guy and could have benefitted from being an up-tempo re-working a-la I Was Born To Love You, but, with Roger and Brian at the moment, its hardly surprisng that this falls short.
The album(s) - interesting compilation of tracks but I'm sure we've all made our own 'interesting' compilations through the years, haven't we.
Certainly won't be buying it but will happily download Let Me In Your Heart Again unless its made available as a single.

Which version of Mr Bad Guy do you have? ;-P
Anyway I agree with you, it would have been better a re-working like I Was Born, or a ballad like the one listened to the radio but with a vocal take more "relaxed" and without that horrible bridge (around 2' of the song)
The name "Queen" as well as a legend should be a responsibility to making music well done for the QP

Let Me In Your Heart Again is just great. I love that it still sounds like a Works-era Queen track and you can't even tell where the new stuff has been added.
There Must Be More to Life Than This is my least favorite of the three. William Orbit does some great work; but not with this. First off, Michael Jackson was, in my opinion, a great vocalist when it came to tracks like "Thriller" and "Bad" where he used his harder voice. His ballad voice depended on how well his producers mixed around it. William Orbit exposes how weak it was here. Being next to Freddie's voice doesn't help. But this doesn't even sound like a Queen track. Hopefully there's enough requests from the fans to hear the mix Brian & Roger did that they'll decide to release it as a bonus track on the album.
Love Kills - I always really liked this song. I know that it sounds very dated to the '80's, but Freddie just has a great vocal on it. When I first heard of Brian & Roger re-visiting this song, I liked the idea. But I thought they'd keep the up-beat idea of the instrumentation. This just does not work as a ballad, especially with Freddie's vocals. I would have started it off as what we're hearing in the ballad version and built it up to be really heavy (think "Hammer to Fall" on Return of the Champions) and out-rock the rock mix on the Freddie box set. Have Brian solo the crap out of the song before bringing Freddie back in to taking the song home.
And speaking of rock, where are the heavier songs in the tracklisting? No "It's Late," "Sheer Heart Attack," or "Man on the Prowl?"

"LOVE KILLS" disco version an unworthy song for the "Queen" name and now with this mix, it is a true "Queen" song.

I must agree with the points made about Brian's guitar playing. I remember when Brian used to carefully compose and arrange his playing but since the late 90s he seems to just turn up and do it in one take. A few high up the fretboard screechy widdly bits and then some parallel harmonies. He seems to put absolute minimal effort into everything he does these days (unless saving badgers) and just sounds like he can't be bothered.

I also find it a bit laughable that 2 members of a band that is as big as Queen either don't have the confidence or balls to go with their own preferred mix of a track and decide to go with a trendy producer instead hoping it will appeal to the 'kids' out there.
Or their version was too good (the unheard version Roger spoke of on the radio show) and Freddie outshining Micheal wasn't okay with the Jackson estate, hence the shittier Freddie vocals version being given the go ahead?

At least let me in your heart again is really good, hopefully they release it as a single so I could buy that one track. That vocal performance is excellent
This, that or iTunes.
Why the hell this can't be a good album?
Hangman
Silver Salmon
Let Me In Your Heart Again
I Guess We Are Failing Out
Love Making Love
It's So You
Who Wants To Live Forever (Freddie intro)
Dog with a Bone
Self Made Man
Face It Alone

Oh dear, are you serious? Ha ha. Outtakes and demos like this could be included in their original form on some sort of rarities box set, but to demand a band of Queen's stature to "re-work" them and release as a regular album is simply ludicrous. Get real. With QF, the barrel has been officially scraped, with mixed results.

I'd have to put this particular mix, then I'd release W.Orbit's mix on cd 1 and Queen's mix on cd 2 and underlined it graphically so people would see what does it mean to treat one's work seriously and with respect (we can assume that Brian's mix of TMBMTLTT is wayyy better than what we've heard from Mr Orbit).
Good idea - they can save face with Mr Orbit and still give us the mix that we, and more importantly THEY, actually want us to hear.

that is SOOO true, mate...
...what a pity...
From a guitarist's point of view...Most solos in MIH are memorable and musical, PURE May/Queen style...awesome...
...since the late '90's it's just...subpar...
...
maybe aging has to do soemthing with that?
I'd also add...
..."stripped down" arrangements are ok (nodding at "The Game")...
But wasn't QUEEN's career based on EXPERIMENTING?!
...
Mercury's vocals are (still) amazing and sheer earpleasure to hear...
But, from my personal point of view, this is a "LOST OPPORTUNITY" (no pun intended...)

Gary Taylor on facebook has hinted at additional surprises on the album. Alternative takes and re-takes of well known tracks!
Stop moaming it is very early for that.
Enjoy Queen!!!!

My two cents:
Three 'new' songs and only one OK (not great) song which has not been surfaced in all those years.
I should have known after the title name of the album appeared: Queen Forever.
Three 'new songs' combined with old available work. A pure cheap way to create a new cashing machine.
I am very disappointed if this tracklist is the final one!
