There's a press release from Coca Cola just posted to Brian's page - a special release will feature a William Orbit mix of LMIYHA.
Let's hope it's not of the same standard as 'There Must Be More To Life Than This', eh?!!

I just heard some of it on iTunes. Nothing special.

Does it differ hugely from Brian's mix?

From what I heard, a few spacey sounds in the background, but not majorly. I wasn't able to hear it in its entirety.

iTunes lists it as being 6:41 in length, so potentially features some additional parts to the Queen Forever version; as its for charity I'll buy it tonight and give it a whirl.

the iTunes snippet sounds just .... awful, very awful

So.. either they (BM + RT) gave him a chance to make up for screwing his mix of TMBMTLTT or Universal was not happy with the amount of "unheard" tracks..... Either way, it's basically the same track but I'd be happy if it turns out to be an "extended version" with some more vocals from Freddie.
I don't want to be that judgemental but if they really want to make the album more valuable to us, die-hard fans then why won't they add "I dream of Christmas" to it and release it on as a X-mas single with LMIYHA (Orbit's mix) being b-side to it.

OMG! Those synth garmonies along with the voice took me to the insult...
It's like the LMIYHA vs Flash Gordon (damn bootleg not-a-heavy mix).
Boooring....

Yes it's quite boring but it's not so-overworked as TMBMTLTT. Unfortunately Orbit's taken away all the emotion and "Queen" feel from the original BM/RT mix of LMIYHA. On the side note - It's tremendous to see how well some of the archival footage is restored. Some unseen bits here and there. Footage of Hammer to Fall looks really great. Maybe they're going to release GH2 on Blu-ray ?

The video is a nice edit with some unseen bits.

Ah, I just saw that someone else posted it. The video for it is interesting, but kinda weird too.

I was just told on Twitter that this is a monstrosity. Is it? I mean, I was moved when I did it. The last chorus - I'm still putting it on, long having finished it, just to bathe my ears in it again. So we see very interesting schism shaping up.
Perhaps some don't accept that I adore Freddie's vocals, everything about the band's performance. ! wouldn't care so much about it except that some genuine Queen fans are quite rattled I checked them out, wondering at first if it was a couple of multi-ID trollers with an axe to grind, but no. They are for real. And I always take great heed of loyal fan feelings.
I totally stand by BOTH mixes, but as always, am keen to hear from listeners. Harsh critiques find. Harsher the better, I can take a beating. Especially when I feel that something I've worked on has been misunderstood. Better that being obscure (plant of experience of that)
Even the pic on the link here will antagonise some! : - )
ps,
remember the cause here too.
pps, you want monstrosity? I got some monsters lined up for 2015!

It's heating up over in Twitter land. No holds barred by the tone. Got my first death threat. Finally, I have arrived!
