i liked the video, not a fan of the remix but that's all it is...a remix. There a lot worse remixes, and it would be frustrating if this was the only version we got, but it's not so people shouldn't be angry about it.

TMBMTLTT is different because his mix is the only version we have, and is the official release what everyone will hear, and it has some drastic things wrong with it.
Spot on. Also, what the remix does do, is make the song noticed. Because, with the promotion so far, I started having an impression no-one cared about Queen anymore. Still gutted about More to Life though. If this new Let Me In remix is anything to go by, Roger's words about their "marvellous" version of More to Life suddenly sound very plausible. Let's hope WO at least fixed the vocals for album release.

Holy Jesus, this is really terrible. My 6 years old sister would do it better. Actually, listening to this music WITHOUT volume would be better. That's what I'm doing right now. BLERGH.

Just checked W. Orbit's Fb page and found this, posted today:

"I'm going to be in the studio later and will give the TMBMTLTT a good listen. The mastered final version as it has been heard on the radio. I was thrilled with it at the time, but am hardly unaware of the brickbats. What's going on with that?"

So, he didn't fix the vocals. I couldn't care less now, because it's a very average song anyway, but I do think he might struggle landing next production job.

So, Orbit was moved when he did this.

What, his bowels?!?!?!

I actually like it. I think it's better than his TMBMTLTT mix.

I'd really like to hear Brian and Roger's mix of TMBMTLTT.
Any way the wind blows...

Wonderful video. I especially like the Brussels 84 footage. It's probably all there is from that show since it was filmed for the Hammer to fall video.
I wonder what show the 1979 footage is from. Maybe Ghoswithasmileisback can eloborate on this :-)

Long time William Orbit-fan here.

What you have to understand that Orbit is a world famous and highly respected producer and remixer, coming from a very electronic background. His remixes are not at all supposed to be true to the original mixes.

So - complaining about the drums not sounding authentic is kinda silly, as the point with his remixes is to create a radically different version that is still true to the song. And I think that's what he has achieved with this remix.

I was actually surprised about how much of the original elements he has retained here, since I was hoping/expecting him to go much more electronic on the song and alter it drastically.

For example, compare the original of Dreadzone's "Earth Angel" (1997) to Orbit's wonderful remix:
* original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MICMB0xFUcc
* remix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGahcHDrvH0

So with that in mind I hope you can appreciate his remix for what it is, and if you like his work I highly recommend seeking out his original albums and singles, plus his many productions and remixes for both underground and commercial artists such as Madonna, Katie Melua, Blur, U2 etc.

Thanks for your time.

What I don't like about the Orbit mix is that it is being used as the single - (confirmed by MPT today that it is indeed a single release). If the Queen version was the single and Orbit's version was just A.N.Other mix available then that would be perhaps understandable, and even a good option, but this is the one that will be in the public eye, with public perception. I think it's a fair enough criticism of his work to slate his drum and guitar sounds; if Led Zep released a single and replaced bits of John Bonham with a machine, and made the other acoustic drum parts sound unlike Bonham, there would rightly be an uproar; the same applies here to me.

I think people are overreacting about this mix.

Lets make things clear.

1- This REMIX will NOT appear on the Forever album. This is a Let Me in Your Heart Again RED Remix (that's the name of this remix) It was made as a collaboration with Coca Cola for AIDS. This is just another remix, just like the disco remix of SSoR, the WWRY Ruined remix or any other remix made by Hollywood Records.
More info here:
http://www.mercuryphoenixtrust.com/site/post_Queen%20Join%20Coca-Cola%20in%20Support%20for%20%28RED%29%20with%20Unreleased%20Track%20and%20VIP%20Live%20Experience_11139

2- This remix doesnt mean that Orbit will be part of Queen, it also doesnt means that from now on every single song will be produced, mixed or remixed by Orbit, this is just a collaboration for AIDS, while the TMBMTLTT remix was pushed by the Jackson estate. In the same way that all other remixes were not supposed replace the original versions, this is not and will not replace the original version.

3- This remix will NOT replace the rock version of LMIYHA.
Queen: Roger Taylor, Mike Grose, Freddie Mercury, Brian May.

Ghostwithasmile is either talking rubbish or trying to wind people up. The '1979' footage at 2:09 is actually '77 notw tour rehearsal footage recorded at Sheperton studios by good old Bob Harris.

@on my way up, the bit @ 5:53 with Freddie playing piano could be from Somebody To Love (judging from Roger's playing tempo).... If anyone could contact Rhys Thomas then we will know for sure.

@pcf I understand that Mr. Orbit wants to make remixes very different from original version but he really sucked out all emotion from this track. There are moments when you can really focus on the backing track and Freddie's wondrous vocals but instead of maintaining this state he chose to attack listener with synths. He should give Hot Space a spin, he would like it :) To sum up TMBMTLTT is a good mix if we compare it with his vision of LMIYHA.

@k-m If he posted it today then it could mean that he didn't finished his work on the track and that we will get even a different version of TMBMTLTT than the one incl. in the sampler video (QOL).

Spot on.

@pcf Some Queen fans actually do know W. Orbit a little bit, but you're missing the point, as explained in the post above. And I don't care how respected W. Orbit is. His version of More to Life is shit. Period.

Haaa @death threats

The mix is ok nothing special but i do like it I'm more excited about the footage it looks great, those clips of Freddie in I Want it All look better than the original, it would be great if Queen are working on a Blu Ray Greatest hits which I'm more inclined to think they are so Universal get as much new product as they can instead of bloody re-releases, Universal may think Brian and Roger are keeping goodies for the future as a sweetener for a new deal with someone else just a thought.

It seems Orbit has finally checked out fan reviews of his mix and got a bit upset maybe he genuinely is lost for ideas as he's more in to dance crap than rock music.

It's kinda growing on me. But... that last part where Freddie and the backing is out of tune with one another or whatever. That makes me cringe.
Yup. Just awful. He has a G in the melody over a D chord. I can't believe this is the same person who produced Madonna's brilliant Ray Of Light. How amateurish.

I was actually doing alright until that moment.

The video, on the other hand, does indeed have a few new (and tantalizing) tidbits. Indeed, it looks like Brussels 8-24-84.

The crowd shot @ 5:50 is the audience responding to Freddie starting to play the piano theme of Somebody To Love, and in the next shot Roger is playing in 6/8 time. This is over an hour earlier than Hammer To Fall in the concert.

Folks - this may indeed mean that they have an entire 1984 show on video in the vault, and it's one of the best latter day Queen shows with the only known pro footage of them doing Great King Rat. This is f&cking monumental.
